Democrat Muslim Virginia Senator has proposed a bill that would make Islamophobia a hate crime. Then it would take things a step further and track Americans who "disrespect Islam" in a hate crime database. “The Bill directs the Virginia State Police, the Attorney General and the Office of Diversity, equity and Inclusion to track and catalog these cases in a hate crime reporting system.” “Virginia is becoming Islamified right in front of our eyes. This is Virginia's Senate Bill 624, introduced — by state Senator Saddam Azlan Salim, a Democrat representing the 37th District. The bill formally inserts a definition of Islamophobia into Virginia's assault and battery laws. It defines Islamophobia as malicious prejudice or hatred toward Islam or Muslims, but it applies even if the alleged victim isn't Muslim. Estimated 3,000 events to be held in different cities around the country, including NYC, D.C., LA, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, and Seattle.
