It’s my first time in Korea during the springtime, seeing the cherry blossoms, and it is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The camera doesn’t do it justice, it was incredibly more surreal and ethereal in person. Let me know if there’s anything else you want to see from Korea 🇰🇷

There’s something many people don’t know: Korea has lots of cherry blossoms too! If you look at the tree trunks, you can see distinct features between Korean and Japanese varieties. Both are amazing. Korean cherry trees (like the King Cherry) tend to have smoother bark with fewer hairs on the winter buds, while Japanese ones (like Somei Yoshino) often show more prominent horizontal stripes on the trunk and denser hairs on the buds.
