We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Tony DiCicco of Tony’s Colonial Market on Federal Hill. For 56 years, Tony was a cherished and steady presence in our community. He greeted thousands of Rhode Islanders and visitors with his warm smile, his beautiful Italian accent, and his unwavering dedication to offering an authentic Italian shopping experience.
This past October, the Federal Hill Commerce proudly presented Tony and his wife, Gina, with our Legacy Award during the Columbus Weekend Festival—a small tribute to the tremendous impact they have had on the Hill. I am personally grateful we were able to honor him while surrounded by the community he loved so dearly.
As we enter this holiday season, our hearts and prayers are with his wife Gina, his daughter Adrienne, his granddaughters, and the entire DiCicco family. Tony’s spirit, kindness, and joy will be profoundly missed, but the legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire all of us.
We will miss you, Tony. Rest with the angels.
