For whatever its worth, I pushed Opus 4.8 on ultracode since release (in 2 different concurrent sessions) knowing the reset was happening today for me...and I used 17% of my week. People claiming they use all their session in 1/2 hour? I'm on the $200 max plan FYI

Opus 4.8 actually seems to like coding and isn’t constantly trying to stop and pick up later - been a refreshing change.

Huge win for @SpaceX yesterday - I think people are really underplaying a whole new pad and launch mount, engine re design and 1000 other components just working the first time (with lots of improvements to come) - and essentially sending 40 t to orbit with an engine out (boom) and making a precise landing after surviving re entry - like what other rocket could do that in the history of rockets?

I set 7 cameras near the pad for starship’s 12th test flight. In a first for me, all 7 got INCREDIBLE photos. Here’s a little peak at one… but there are a lot more. I’ll post some of my favorites tomorrow, and release at least one in print.

Brutal to see Starship yet again take good steps forward and a big step back 😐 still, this is the most resilient Ship has ever looked. A nominal landing after losing 1/6 ascent engines & 1/3 landing engines is huge, and this was the least dramatic heat shield performance yet

Everyone in legaltech getting way too excited about MCP It's a nothingburger technology that's being rebranded by incumbents as a slight of hand to keep their APIs closed Don't believe me? You can check yourself by reading the docs every time an MCP is announced. In the docs you will see a full description of the tools it exposes. I have yet to see a legaltech vendor provide tools that actually give the AI agent the power to reason at a low level with their data. But before you @ me with the vendor that does do this - that's only half the problem. LLMs actually aren't very good at reasoning over a huge set of tools - they don't call them reliably and they don't use them effectively. It was a whole thing to get them to use the tools we built internally at Eno PDF properly! And finally, MCP doesn't solve for authentication - which is at least half of the complexity of integrating anything with anything. So yeah... MCP is not very exciting and vendors are just trying to play you.

is it just me or did they patch up opus 4.7? incredible emotional depth and deep understating. even my blank Claude is getting a lot softer, attentive and tender. What’s going on? 😅 Where is the “take care of yourself / get some rest” Claude?
