i get a chuckle every time i use “login with google” on smth and see “accounts youtube com” in the redirects for a hot second. what kind of politics / technical decisions led to that a subdomain or event a system hosted under YouTube is on the critical path of all Google logins?

Idc about ASI, I think AGI has the potential to be completely destabilizing to society for 2 reasons: 1) it’ll outperform >70% of mid-tier workers in many industries, so mass unemployment 2) it’ll outperform >90% of mid-tier friends, & a lot of people only have mid-tier friends
