Easy to imagine all AI application software companies having their own version of sandbox to complete tasks. At the same time, hard to imagine traditional software shifting to such an architecture.

In hindsight all the sandbox stuff is so obvious because containers without AI are basically just contners which makes no sense.

Got Open Inspect setup by @_colemurray and it's showing a lot of promise.
It's an OSS version of Ramp's Inspect agent.
Callable from Slack.
So far the @modal sandboxes are fast and fab.

We are good at sandboxes at @modal in several ways but scale is probably our biggest strength.
We run hundreds of thousands of sandboxes concurrently and lot of our users come to us because other vendors can’t support that.

100% of dev is going to be done in sandboxes in the cloud, controlled by kanban boards.
Trust me, I love my local machine and gorgeous mac apps, but all of it is just a terrible form factor for running a team of agents effectively.
