I really wish I knew what the Brits/Aussies/Canadians really think. I keep on seeing information saying how much they all deeply hate America and Americans in general. When I went through SERE school, they taught us that we could always trust the ABCs (Australians, British, and Canadians).

I understand that you're not pleased with Trump. I'm simply pointing out that you should be pleased if the US abandons the European bases. That way, Europe won't have to deal with the US (or the 'Mafia godfather') anymore on this. You'll have full sovereignty, no obligations, as you've described.

You're right they do belong to the host nation, and the US just pays for them and maintains them. The point still stands though. They are of absolutely no use to us anymore and we should abandon them as soon as possible. It's a win-win situation. Europeans don't want them there and the US no longer has any use for them. So, cheer up. I don't know why you have to be so rude.

I agree. NATO countries don’t have an obligation to allow the US to utilize the bases that we established and maintain there. They also have a right to close their airspace to the US. Thus, they are useless to the US and a great benefit the Islamic Republic. Both Europeans and the US will benefit by the U.S. leaving.

@SB30Bio @BrandonStraka NATO is a defensive organization not an attacking One. Otherwise it's fuelling the Russian speech that OTAN is a threat to them. Your bases are not in France since 1966. You have the right to use 2 french bases for supplies. Not to attack Iran, because we are a Nato member.
