@itaintwhywhywhy@sarajcox Omg I’ve never seen this! 😂 I was picturing her being stalked by a load of little people trying to bite her knees, while also thinking she was mental and very inappropriate 🫣 ( she was actually lovely)
Love this 👏🏼 So please tell me about the time you misheard something or someone misheard you? Leading to confusion, embarrassment, general toe curlage….
@JimGael5 See that’s the thing - we *are* served by public transport and I’m happy to use it, but as described here, what’s supposed to be in place isn’t working. While we do share a car, there are plenty of people who do not have an alternative option.
@ST_Foley Just drive. It’s not possible to expect the state to build millions of euro of infrastructure for people to go to every possible destination.
Alternatively find something along the transport route.
📖 A tale about public transport with a baby in Cork.
Today I wanted to attend a baby yoga class 7 km from my house, or a 10minute drive.
There’s no direct bus from Glanmire to Glounthaune, and baba is still too small for the bike, so I’ll get the 214 bus & the commuter train
@ST_Foley Are you saying if someone wants to get from Glanmire to Glounthaune on public transfer they have to get a bus into town and then the train back down to Glounthaune and vice versa for the return trip? That's madness. Are there any buses heading east from Glanmire?
@AracerRacer I have my eye on a Hauck trailer to use as soon as he is 6 months. It will do fine for local trips at least although I wouldn’t cycle into the city with that setup, unfortunately.
@JohnnyNoCash1 Quite the contrary. I specifically chose to live in an area in cycling distance to the city, close to rail, and serviced by busses. As per schedule there’s a bus every 20 mins. Except that’s not what’s happening on the ground.
@ST_Foley 13bn oe 113bn wlof Govt money won't solve your problem. What you need is a private automobile to bring you where you want, when you want, carrying what you want.
@veronm78 I hear you. We’re a 4 person family, both work in the city, and have given up trying to get it home from work as it’s so unreliable so I mostly cycle now or carpool. The 8am departure from Glanmire also seems to no longer exist
