The World Bank Implementation Support Mission is visiting Izere Services & Trading Comp. Ltd, which was supported by #SAIP to acquire a cold truck, potato, & fruit & vegetable washing machines thru a matching grant. #SAIP is implemented by @RwandaAgriBoard& funded by World Bank

The World Bank Implemtn Support Mission is conducting a field visit in @RwandaEast to assess the progress activities of the #SAIP project. Here, the team is visiting SA-TECH Ltd a maize flour processing plant in @GatsiboDistrict that was constructed thru SAIP matching grant.

Happening now: The World Bank Implementation Support Mission team is meeting with the RAB SPIU World Bank funded projects staff and the FAO Rwanda team to assess the progress made towards implementing #SAIP project.

Cultivation of mushrooms following #SAIP support has enabled vulnerable household families with pregnant women, lactating mothers & children under the age of 5 within #SAIP sites to improve household nutrition. Households are able to regularly feed on a diet containing mushrooms

Improved nutrition gained by adding eggs to the diet of children, lactating mothers, and pregnant women has positively impacted the lives of vulnerable households in #SAIP sites across the country. The project aims to improve nutritional outcomes at the household level.

Happening now: Steering Committee Meeting for #CDAT project underway at @RwandaAgri conference hall. The meeting chaired by Dr. Chantal Ingabire, Director General of Planning in @RwandaAgri aims at assessing the implementation status of the project.

As production increases and smallholder farmers are able to produce enough for markets, #SAIP helps smallholders to gain access to markets for their produce.

Commercialization and De-Risking for Agricultural Transformation Project (CDAT) targets to increase the use of irrigation and commercialization among producers and agribusiness firms across the country. The project will also increase access to agriculture finance and insurance.

Cultivation of high value export crops, including chilli pepper, has become a cash cow among smallholder farmers and various agribusiness investors in #SAIP site-@RwamaganaDistr following the project support especially the construction of hillside irrigation infrastructure.
