Dearest Muslim Community   With regret, I have had to resign from my post as Imam of Redbridge Islamic Centre (RIC) due to a disagreement with the committee that could not be resolved.   It’s been a wonderful ten years serving the community. It really has.   My most memorable moment will be the Eid in the Park in 2017 which was attended by over 15,000 musallis from Ilford, Redbridge and surrounding boroughs. Together we shared a profound moment reflecting over the terrible fire of Grenfell, London, that took the lives of so many but left us with some sobering lessons on life and the importance being one as a community in tough times.   I made the most beautiful connections at RIC and despite having to leave I will make every effort to stay connected with my congregation and continue serving the community as best as I can.   24 Jumada I 1445 AH
