@SussexHenryVIII @SkEdwards1056 I'm sure it's been horrid. But no more so than for so many of us who have been through/are still going through similar experiences without an income in the millions, paying no tax, and having a strong of palaces, and hundreds of staff, to call upon.

99.98% of the population who find "pre-cancerous" cells have to keep trucking. They have to wake up in the morning and confirm childcare, go to work, worry about medical access and bills. The only criticism that ever had any teeth about this whole situation revolved around privilege. No one wishes cancer on Kate Middleton or her family. But the fact that after a week of documentaries about shady finances and the continued floppage of William's pet project the pivot back to this 'woe is me' campaign is in bad taste.

@Pappiness Occasionally the only way to treat a sepsis in pregnancy is to end the pregnancy. Especially if there's ruptured membranes. So glad that in the UK the mothers life comes first.

A Texas teen tested positive for sepsis, but was cleared to leave because her fetus still had a heartbeat. She got worse, but they insisted on 2 ultrasounds before treatment. She died hours later. If you have daughters in TX, vote for Allred & Harris. Their lives depend on it.

@FondOfBeetles Collect her birthday presents off him (not cheap ones by all accounts) and was then going to unceremoniously dump him. Whilst revelling over expected cash presents, buying a car outright (but has failed theory test multiple times). Is it just men? Or is it a generational thing?

@FondOfBeetles Not quite that bad but 2 females on a train this week. One older an aunt of the other, who was celebrating her 18th birthday. The 18 y-o was a trust-fund baby by her own account & modelled, apparently. Finding it highly hilarious that she was going to go to her boyfriends house..

On a train across from a foursome of 20-yr-ish lads. The dynamics between them are interesting. There is the cocky leader. He’s a brickie. He holds his declared income at 50k, because if he goes over, he will pay 40% tax. On all of it 🤦‍♀️ He has loudly told the train carriage how best to avoid paying tax (even if he doesn’t understand how income tax is levied). There is the adoring groupie boy, who now wants to be a brickie, but thinks he would fail the routine Monday drugs test. Because it’s really unfair that when you go off to a rave for the weekend, your boss might suspect it’s not fuelled by simply the evil cocktail of Malibu, vodka and coke that you are well stuck into, and have offered around the carriage. BTW, fella, I went to the loo after you. You need to learn to aim, and you are definitely failing a drugs test, so top marks for perception. There is a coder. Alpha Brickie thinks Coder is the smart one, but in that “banter way” that sounds quite hurtful. When Alpha Brickie went to the loo, Coder confessed that he was still working and although excited about the weekend, was actually looking forward to cooking on Sunday. Beta Brickie said he quite likes baking, but Alpha Brickie came back so he shut up. Fourth dude has volunteered that he was “outed” on some red flag website by his girlfriend (he didn’t call her that, he called a C word). A site that women use to expose abusive men, as far as I can tell. Alpha Brickie thinks women’s rights have gone too far. More at Ten, tune in.

@MimiJ9 Farms are a business & other family businesses of high value seem to negotiate the inheritance tax situation fine. Why can't the farm & buildings be incorporated into a Trust? Happens with many other family businesses. Is there something preventing it I'm not aware of?

PIP is there to ensure that a person's disability does not add additional burden to them compared to a person without disability in the same situation.

To those saying comments like "oh good more money for those who contribute nothing" - check ur facts! 40% of UC claimants are the working poor others are carers, have disabilities or illness, & some who don't have work, want it. A little more compassion & less judgement wouldn't hurt.

She looks like she doesn't have a disability at first glance. Her only visible trait you only see when she's barefoot - persistent tiptoe

She receives full rate of PIP in the mobility section because a) It's painful for her to walk, b) With her seizures it's not safe for her to use public transport at all times

@queens_parents Anyone who works in healthcare or social care will tell you there are coercive & controlling partners who expect to control all aspects of their victims lives. Current UK stats are 1:3 women experience domestic abuse of varying degrees during their lifetime. ?US is similar stats.

What Vivek says is, of course, true. The “social safety net” of state & federal government payments is a powerful magnet for anyone living below that standard (over 5 billion people) to move to the United States. Couple that with open borders and obviously vast numbers of people will move here. It would be absurd to expect any other outcome.
