This calls for a much better peer review system. Like we have to do better. We have to check figures for plagairism - as has been strongly advocated for by @MicrobiomDigest. I know it will be hard. But this appears to be our reality.

Well. It REALLY happened. The plagiarized paper got published. my paper from 2021 - pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33915259/ new one from 2024 - pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38700052/ We'll look at figures in the 🧵 below.

Well, it happened. I am reviewing a paper that is 100% plagiarized from my work. 🔥🔥 not 100% like "I'm certain it's plagiarized", but 100% like "every figure is from my public GitHub repo linked in the paper they are copying". Editor friends - how does one review this?
