@MacticsG1 What really exacerbated the issue was Destiny Rising's out showing Destiny 2 with long requested community features coupled with Marathon's lightning fast ability to fix and react to community feedback.

I feel marathon unfairly gets a lot of flak for "causing destiny's downfall" as many claim it did. Destiny has been heading down this road for quite some time. The franchise fatigue has consumed the playerbase. If it wants to thrive instead barely survive, it needs to evolve.
