The source of the Zambezi River isn't in Zambia, it turns out. The true source of the Zambezi is the Lungwebungu River, in the Angolan Southern Highlands. Scientists resolved this only a few months ago. @AuthorityRiver @mimmitwit @matigary 📽️: Jessé Manuel

@freemanchari This is why am baffled by this CDF business. You are looking beyond 2026. And building something for the longterm. The mindset wrong from the onset. There’s no constitution to defend once it’s violated

Scenarios as of today regarding CAB3: 1. ZANU PF withdraws it - unlikely 2. Parliament reject it - unlikely 3. Mnangagwa doesn't sign it - unlikely 4. Court blocks it - Likely orders a referendum 5. Military coup - Unlikely before September 6. Civil disobedience - Unlikely without a major catalyst 7. Referendum & Overwhelming NO - Likely but wld be bloody

@dhonzamusoro007 I agree, he was trying to pooh pooh land reforms. I’ve got no beef with you on that. I just don’t like that it takes 2-3 seasons to recover from one terrible season…and the cycle is never ending. The system hasn’t been competent at protecting national yield.

This is not the first worst weather we have had; we have never had to depend on charity. We buy food and it takes means to do so. As I grew up under Rhodesia - white Rhodesia - the country faced same cycles of drought and survived on grain imports, including from a black-governed country called Kenya. To this day, yellow maize in Zimbabwe is called ken’a, because of those pre-independence grain imports. What riles me are attempts to pooh-pooh our land reforms -itself the final act of decolonization - by falsely lionizing white farming as super-efficient and some insurance against periodic cycles of grain shortages. It is a false narrative peddled by slaves in the white kitchen!!!!!

@dereckgoto You are right. But if you are going to extend your own term in office, as what parliament is seeking to do, does this not require a clear public approval by the people?

No referendum needed for CAB3. Here's why. Zimbabwe's Constitution only requires a referendum to change 3 things: ✅ Chapter 4 - Your Rights ✅Chapter 16 - Land ✅Section 328 - Amendment rules CAB3 touches none of them. Parliament can pass it with a two-thirds majority. That's not a loophole - that's the law you and I approved in 2013. "But term limits!" Extending an election cycle from 5 to 7 years is not the same as changing term limits. Term limits govern how many terms someone can serve - CAB3 doesn't touch that. Not even close. Bottom line: Demanding a referendum on CAB3 is itself unconstitutional. The Constitution is working exactly as Zimbabweans built it.

Although I am not a supporter of CAB3, I stand firmly by the position I expressed in that post. There is little evidence to suggest that popular electoral systems consistently produce the most capable leadership. Even at the local governance level, popularly elected city councillors have run down our urban centres because the popular electoral system is churning out school leavers without life-time experiences and rural migrants into council chambers. At the national level, popularly elected leaders, usually lawyers who find it easy to survive the political terrain, including the incumbent, have yet to demonstrate that they offer a markedly better value. In this context, a parliamentary electoral system could provide a pathway towards greater meritocracy, while also creating space for minority groups to achieve meaningful representation.
Bla B@bla_bidza

Viewed beyond Emmerson Mnangagwa as the immediate beneficiary, the parliamentary election of the president in the CAB3, on a bigger picture presents a meaningful institutional pathway for greater political inclusion. In particular, it can expand opportunities for ethnic minority groups to access executive power, mitigating the structural disadvantages often embedded in majoritarian electoral systems. From a political science perspective, such an arrangement may enhance representational equity and foster broader regional participation in national leadership. In that sense, it offers certain historically marginalised regions a more credible opportunity to contend for the presidency. I like it.

@therealmaf_ @wgodfrey32 He has no bills for her; he doesn’t see her on a Tuesday when she’s in a rough mood; he hasn’t lived with her at all to see her stripped to her bare state, physically, emotionally and psychologically. It’s the only reason he “knows” how to treat her.

Ever since I got a side guy, I finally became the "perfect" wife my husband always wanted. I don't nag anymore. I don't check his phone. I don't care if he comes home at 3 AM or 3 PM. As long as the bills are paid and the kids are good, I’m smiling. The bitterness is gone. The anger has evaporated, and my blood pressure is now normal l. I used to cry when he’d throw his little jabs or insulting words at me. Now I just nod, do the chores, and think about the man who actually knows how to treat me. I’m not the "sad, bitter wife" anymore. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and we are both happy in this marriage.

Hi. Please help expose this person who defrauded me. Her name is Reina Nyasha Sibindi. In 2023, she took US$50,000 from me after convincing me to invest in a solar business. She used the names of senior government officials to make the business seem real and trustworthy. After receiving the money in March 2023, she travelled to India with her mother for surgery and later got engaged to her ex-fiancé. I believe she used my money for these personal matters. From July 2023, I kept asking for updates about my investment, but she kept giving excuses and became more evasive and rude. This led to her arrest in November 2025. The matter went to court, and on 13 January 2026, she was ordered to repay me. However, she has since blocked my calls and is ignoring my emails. I will now contact the Messenger of Court and will share updates as they come.

🚨WORD ON THE STREET: Is in as much as Lewis Hamilton is so in love with Kim Kardashian, he has refused to appear on any of the Kardashian TV shows It may be the wisest thing he has done so far since deciding to date Kim, because the reality is they'd just use his image to generate more eyes to their reality shows That is how their whole family moves, it's their pattern, they date these famous men and use them to get more eyes on their shows and increase the status of the Kardashian brand The Kardashian sisters have been involved with some of these famous men and had them on their TV shows > Kanye West > Lamar Odom > French Montana > Tyga > Pete Davidson All these men appeared on the Kardashian TV shows and the Kardashian machine did what it does best, monetized it. To this very day, the footage is still being shown There's never been nothing real about this family, their end goal is to convert anyone they date into content that generates money Who knows may be very soon they'll convince the F1 legend to be on camera for their show Lesson: Avoid women who live for attention, they'll just end up making you part of their content. Anything that gets them attention

We are coming up with a Statutory Instrument to stop Medical Aids from also providing services, as there is a serious conflict of interest threatening the existence of independent medical practice in Zimbabwe. Being the insurer and the provider has resulted in numerous challenges that we seek to correct. Some medical aids are fighting this SI by hook and crook because they have been benefitting from the clear conflict of interest and anti-competitive nature of this arrangement. We notice that the state media seems to have been dragged into this and have not even cared to hear the Govt’s side. We are very disappointed to say the least. Furthermore, on the question of authorship: an opinion must have an author. How can we have an opinion that is said to be done by a "correspondent"? Whose opinion is that? That would make readers believe it is the paper's opinion or a corporate-sponsored opinion. State Media has a responsibility to refuse to publish such. When a "correspondent" is listed instead of a named individual, the reader cannot assess bias, motive, or accountability. Is it the newspaper speaking? A hired public relations firm? An anonymous corporate interest? In matters of public health policy, where billions of dollars and the viability of independent medical practice hang in the balance, anonymity is unacceptable. State Media, in particular, has a duty to model transparency. Publishing unattributed opinions as if they were news or editorial consensus deceives the public and undermines trust. If an opinion is worth publishing, it is worth signing. Govt insists on this principle, and State Media should refuse to publish any opinion piece that hides behind the vague label of "correspondent." heraldonline.co.zw/opinion-zimbab…

@antomukuwa Am pretty sure the science actually does say people need delusion to move forward with plans and ideas. We all have to lie to ourselves about our abilities…and that doesn’t appear to be the reason he was fired.

The problem of lying too much about your progress is that you end up even believing your lies. I know one guy who tried to do engineering degree and did not finish it because he was suspended in his final year due to something that he never disclosed! He went on to believe his lies that he is an engineer, through some family connections he started working for a big organization as an engineer and he was earning good money,at college his suspension period was over. Instead of returning to school and finish his degree he insisted that he was an engineer and later on when the company restructured the new HR didn’t find his degree and requested it and that was the end for him. At that point at university, the time lapse for him if he wanted to go back he would have to start from zero! If you hear the guy talk about new projects he is doing you will buy every story until when you realize this man is just a serial liar! Ukaona mababe aanobata mahwani magetsi chaiwo bcz anowakanga hake big time,😂😂 The lesson from his life is to sell something you have to believe it and it’s important be careful otherwise you end up being delusional,l have seen a lot of people believing crazy things. Heee l will marry a rich guy, heee l will be married when l become rich, heee l am not buying a house kuGhetto bcz l will make enough to go kuOther side of Samora, heee l can’t go kuchando to do care work Stop being delusional and be practical

@KMutisi Am pretty sure 18 months ago you were against constitutional amendments that you are now in support of. If you couldn’t even predict your own future, how can you know for sure what happens a few months from now? Do you, but I’m not sure it was a good thing to change for money.

POLITICS rewards loyalty & competence. There are folks who think “sitting on the fence” is the best strategy, IT’S NOT. Politicians always remember who openly stood with them when it mattered most. Good leaders are also good followers… Those who fail this test NEVER rise to the apex, they just ends as dots in history… Zimbabwean politics is moving to a new level in a few months. CAB3 will be passed, & political rewards & punishment will certainly follow. In the least, know the difference between winners & losers. Aligning with losers is the biggest mistake any politician can make…. President @edmnangagwa is not an average politician…. he knows the game better than ANYONE alive in Zimbabwe at the moment…. Only those who chose to learn from him will triumph, those who mistakenly thought they are smarter than him will certainly learn the hard way.

@DandaroOnline It’s an incentive to ruin the constitution. People spend valuable time going after ED on the constitution when its actually the 360 who vote yes or no on the changes that we should be focusing on. ED has made his move.

#dandarostreets A concerned citizen asks if a $3 million donation to Parliament ahead of the CAB#3 vote is a gift or a bribe, warning in “Gupta-style” terms about possible state capture as private wealth and politics appear to intersect.
