@Zarphus Huh, admittedly I was trying this for a full custom character and not for skins. Not sure right this second though definitely a full custom character should work.

@Shadowth117 i'm trying your fix, and it seems to work in menu, but when i load in, it still attempts to attach the original character's mesh to my custom armature and material, leading to the expected spaghetti. anything i can do to solve this? it worked fine prior to hats update.

Made a fix for the Megabonk Custom Character Loader and compiled and tested versions for Melon Loader and BepinEx. I also put in a PR to the original repo for a fix. I recommend using his when he gets around to it, but for now mine works. github.com/Shadowth117/ME…

As far as the thing in general, while it already looks atrocious, it's worth calling out that they specifically wanted what they put out shown to the public. Now think about what they didn't show. How bad must characters like the Oblivion argonians with no irl equivalent look?

I finished Demon's Souls PS5 .ctxr for now, pending craziness. It does manage to go through everything in the final patch of the game without crashing. A minority of pixel formats have issues, but most things work. Feel free to report weirdness. github.com/Shadowth117/Aq…

The changes are the exact same as the MelonLoader version to be clear, only difference is it using MelonLoader vs BepinEx libraries. Would be cool to see it work with the hat system that got put in one day, I wasn't totally sure how to set that up.

After sitting on it for a bit, I also uploaded the fix I did for the Megabonk Custom Character Loader to Thunderstore. The original author hasn't touched their repo in weeks, but I've left a note on the upload to use his whenever he gets back to that.

New Steam Workshop Feature ‼️ Normally, Steam always updates mods to the newest version. Now, Steam lets mods and games lock themselves to specific game versions, so: - Mods don’t suddenly stop working - Players can stay on an older, stable version if they want Steam will automatically download the correct mod version for the version of the game you’re running.

Mirror support in PT using PrimarySurfaceReplacement (NRD supports PSR). The Primary surface parameters are replaced by what the mirror sees rather than the camera. Normals, Color data is reprojected into the mirror from surroundings as BVH contains lower resolution data.

Weird stuff starts happening if you don't normalize the normals by the way if you make them fairly large magnitudes. I added an optional checkbox to disable the normalization if you want to experiment. It seems to just warp Billy so it may have a legit use case.

Happy New Year, all. Starting it out with releasing the .pth spline import/export for Billy Hatcher via Aqua Toolset. Since spline support is screwy in general, I opted to just export with bone chains with an extra bone per spline vertex representing the normal direction.
