For years, I had the privilege of serving alongside Lindsey in the Senate. We fought shoulder to shoulder for conservative judges, stood together with our allies, and never wavered in confronting America’s adversaries. Heidi’s and my prayers are with his family, his devoted staff, and the people of South Carolina. Today, I met with Kerr County officials to discuss flood recovery, public safety, emergency preparedness, and the work still ahead one year after the devastating Hill Country floods. I’m grateful for the local leaders, first responders, volunteers, and neighbors who have helped this community grieve, rebuild, and prepare for the future. In the Senate, I’m working to modernize @NOAA Weather Radio, strengthen flood warnings, and ensure Texans have the information they need when seconds matter.

Today, I toured @USDA’s Knipling-Bushland U.S. Livestock Insects Research Laboratory and received a briefing on the New World screwworm response. The scientists and researchers there are doing critical work to protect Texas ranchers, livestock, and our food supply. As New World screwworm cases continue to rise, we will continue working with USDA to stop its spread and ensure we have the resources and support needed to combat it.

Liberals are using loopholes in the nonprofit tax system to secretly fund groups that promote leftwing political violent. The DOJ is right to investigate, and I'm working with colleagues in Congress to advance my legislation closing those loopholes.

Praise God. Republicans and Democrats united to demand, and President Trump ensured, that the Chinese Communist Party would free Pastor Jin. We will continue our efforts to free all Christians and other prisoners of conscience being held.
