Elon Musk has become a trillionaire. If we confiscated just 15% of his wealth we could: clean up all the oceans, eliminate poverty, and literally make the world into a utopia. Instead he chooses to indulge in his phallic obsession with rockets and wants to build data centers in space. You cant even move electricity from space to earth. Dumbest idea ever. @EzraACohen The Mt Hood strawberries are like what you described in Europe. The problem is, while they are the best IMHO, they are delicate. They do not last long in a store, don't transport well. If it rains at the wrong time they burst or mold before picking.

Recently returned from a vacation in Europe. The strawberries there were red to the core and full of flavor, just like I remember from my childhood in Maryland. Now all the strawberries in stores have a white core and lack flavor. What’s going on?

Half of all families live in child care deserts. How did we get here? It’s Econ 101: Prices are high because lots of families need care, but there’s nowhere near enough child care providers. And there aren’t enough providers, because we’re not paying them enough.

All he needs to do is sell his stake in the companies he created from the ground up, crashing the price and evaporating his wealth as well as the savings and pensions of workers globally.. handing the control of these companies over to short term profit interests and preventing any long term vision from being enacted.. THEN take whatever money that remains which will be nowhere near 1tn and give it to homeless charities who have never solved homelessness anywhere on earth because they’re financially incentivised to do the opposite.
