I voted for Donald Trump because I believed he was the lesser of two evils.
Not because I thought he was perfect — but because I believed the message.
No new wars.
End the existing ones.
Put America First.
That was the promise that sold it.
But now I’m watching something very different unfold.
Conflicts aren’t cooling down — they’re expanding.
Money is still flowing overseas in massive amounts.
Military aid keeps stretching across multiple fronts.
And at home?
Prices keep climbing.
Families are stretched thin just buying groceries.
Veterans are still struggling on the streets.
Debt and stress are everywhere you look.
So I keep asking the same question:
Where did America First go?
Because I didn’t vote for global escalation.
I didn’t vote for endless foreign spending.
I voted for stability at home and peace abroad.
And right now… that promise feels further away than ever.
That’s why people aren’t just disappointed anymore.
They’re questioning everything.

NOPE - It’s a quote from a movie that was clearly explained by Hegseth as being a prayer that A-10 pilots recited prior to going in to rescue our downed pilot in Iran. It is not a “fake verse” at all, Cletus, but a prayer, loosely based on the message in Ezekiel 25:10, recited by our warriors as they go into war. Quit trying so hard to make it something it’s not. That makes you as ignorant as Little Eddie Krazystein.

Pete Hegseth quoted a fake Bible verse from Pulp Fiction at a Pentagon speech and prayer session yesterday.
The prayer was an adaptation of the monologue delivered by Samuel L. Jackson’s character. In the movie, the character falsely attributes it to Ezekiel 25:17 before a killing, saying:
“The path of the downed aviator is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of camaraderie and duty, shepherd the lost through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to capture and destroy my brother. And you will know my call sign is Sandy 1 when I lay my vengeance upon thee.”

No matter his inspiration he is suggesting a prayer.
There is no structure to a prayer required - you may follow a “standard prayer” like the Lord’s Prayer or you may ad lib as you see fit.
The prayer or thanks over the tables is an example - each person may make their own prayer for others to AMEN to. There is no template or structure.
The fact that he took a known set of lines from a movie and adapted it to his personal prayer makes it no less meaningful and no less holy.
Many lines within this original movie script were taken or strongly inspired by biblical quotes (not all, but many).
Stop trying to look for reasons to criticise genuine attempts to bring real religious beliefs into modern society just based on your perception of “he copied it”.
Every Christian who says any structured prayer “copies it”. Does that make it meaningless? I think not.

I support Trump, and I spend 8 hours a day defending him. I will not defend blasphemy.
