@SlumberingFool but yknow how it goes! people remembered something about 300dpi and blurriness and canvas size and got things jumbled up and passed on confusing information

what canvas size do people use to be able to draw things with such detail I use 3k pixel wide canvas and still can’t get in the nitty gritty without it looking too pixilated and unnoticeable

@SlumberingFool @ikuramachi the only time dpi affects canvas size is 1. if you set your canvas size using real world size units, which is useful if youre planning to print to a particular size, and 2. if you change the dpi after creating the canvas and tell it to maintain the real-world size

@SlumberingFool @ikuramachi DPI/Res actually does not matter in this case since pixels are not affected by DPI. 3k pixel in 300 DPI is the same as 3k in 72 DPI. DPI is mainly used in reference for printing. 4" 300 DPI is much bigger than 4" in 72 DPI due to the converted pixel sizing for print

@Vipckyz I've done 600 for canvas prints and it was super clear and smooth! Unfortunately it lagged pretty often Haha

@ikuramachi @SlumberingFool 600 DPI is very good but you need at least an average device or else it can crash sometimes
