Hi #CarTwitter. Happy Friday! I was thinking about my 1st car this morning, it was a Torquise Green 1982 Mk2 1.1i Fiesta, but ofcourse being a teenager, I stuck a XR2 kit on it, complete with 'Pepper Pop' wheels (remember those?!) Sports exhaust and front fog lamps, it looked like the one pictured below. So I want to know what your 1st car was? Bonus points for photos. 🚗

Nerdy housing/econ question. I need to work out what a house costing £33k in 1985 would be worth today. Nationwide says £141k, using RPI. Bank of England says £100k, using CPI. Which should I use? (cc @ChrisGiles_)

@ListerLawrence Par for the course sadly. If you own one of those for more than 12 months without a big bill you are doing well. Suspension faults can be a cheap fix (hundreds not thousands)

I’ve owned this 2011 Bentley Supersports for a 3 years. In that time it’s been fully operational without fault for about 2 weeks. Not even joking! Currently the roof has stopped working, the battery lasts about 2 days then loses charge and the suspension has a failure notice. 😩
