Ichibun Sugimoto (杉本一文) is a Japanese illustrator that was active primarily from the 1970s onward, and often drew on themes of the occult and horror. He produced numerous works for mystery novel covers, but perhaps best known for his haunting and evocative artwork for the novels of Seishi Yokomizo (横溝 正史), the celebrated author behind the iconic detective Kosuke Kindaichi (金田一 耕助). His style blends realism with psychological unease — detailed, lifelike figures placed in unnerving, often surreal compositions. General readers were drawn to his distinctive style, and one of his art books became a commercial success. Sugimoto's work played a major role in shaping the visual identity of modern Japanese horror and mystery fiction. His use of muted tones, stark expressions, and eerie stillness creates a signature mood that feels both elegant and disturbing. Even today, his illustrations are instantly recognizable and deeply influential, especially among fans of ero-guro, horror, and avant-garde art. There's so many questions I want to ask, but the people I want to ask would never answer. For instance, people who leave skid marks in their drawers, your bootyhole don't itch??? Nobody's gonna jump in the comments and say, "I leave skid marks and mine don't itch."

I finally tried the cola and peanuts thing that's been trending on Japanese and American Twitter. I've never tried it before since I rarely drink soda, rarely eat peanuts, and I'm from California. 😂 But since I already had cola on hand, I thought I might as well buy some peanuts too. This is a more retro-style cola though, but if anything, the old-school cola actually feels more fitting. 🤔 From what I know of, this tradition is more of a Southern thing? But I always feel like Southern people really do know what they're doing when it comes to food and treats. It's simple and works.

I rarely drink soda, but every few weeks or so I do like trying a new soda, especially retro ones. It's my first time tasting Spiffy, but I like it more than Coca-Cola. I just always prefer retro sodas over modern. The cane sugar makes a difference.

@Valtane666 I especially do it when my body hurts. 😂 As long as it's carpeted. I feel like it really re-adjusts my back from being in shrimp posture too long.

Sometimes I see posts of cats and dogs sleeping in plain boxes right next to their comfy beds and laugh because they're so silly, while I'm lying on the floor right next to my comfy bed.

@amemochi0827 On a similar note: When I visited my grandparents, they gave me some tea. I said I liked it, but honestly I didn't care for it that much. The next time I visited though, they gave me three large bottles of the same tea for me to take home. 😂

Great food, great people, great time. I've only been invited to a few, but I've reconnected with old friends and made some new ones through it. ☺️ It's really easy to connect with food. It also feels very "summer". Long days, warm weather, being outside. It's a good excuse to actually leave the house for once and enjoy the nice day. (lol)

@FrankieDaTurtle I'd like to hear your theories on the ending and stuff once you watch it. 🧐 I've been reading some random ones on Reddit and it's been fun.

"Exit 8" — It's been a while since I was this excited for a movie. I never played or watched the game, so I can't really compare it to that, but I've heard it's pretty faithful. I did know the premise going in, though, and it's exactly my kind of thing. I like loop-style horror, especially when there's room for different interpretations about what's actually happening and how it ends. This one definitely leans into that. That said, a few scenes were frustrating. The kind where something bad is obviously about to happen, the characters know it too, and they still just stand there waiting for it. Like bro, run. 🤦🏽‍♀️ That only happens a couple times, so it didn't ruin the movie, but I absolutely did not like it when it did. Ain't nobody got time for that. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Overall, I'd say it's worth watching at least once. I'd give it a 7/10. You can tell there's some filler to stretch the runtime (besides the standing and gawking). In a way, it works since it adds to the claustrophobic feeling and the tension of being stuck in a loop, but I think they could've handled some of that differently too. Anyway, it's not for people who don't like slow-type of horror though. I like them. And if you do too, I think it's worth giving a try.
