We had our first book club meetings of the year this week and had 81 pupils across years 7-12 join me. Broken all previous records! The younger pupils read @simonjamesgreen amazing book and here are some of the comments. @ReadingatLLP @uksla

We normally head to Bath for #BookshopDay but for a change this year I’m taking a little drive out to @snugbookshop to meet my lovely pal @vonprice for books, tea and cake! A bookshop I’ve not visited before, I wonder what I’ll come home with.

I went to see a prospective secondary school last night for my daughter. Nearly 1500 children and no librarian, library on the top floor wasn’t part of the tour and 1 author visit in the last 2 years. Personally I find this unacceptable. Am I being unreasonable? #edutwitter
