50,000 residents are without power today because @XcelEnergyCO shut the grid down due to extreme fire risk. We're days away from the anniversary of the Marshall Fire. And because @GovofCO won't release convicted felon @tinapeters from prison, he's closing Boulder's @NCAR_Science in retribution. NCAR is not "climate alarmism"--it's critical public safety, a bulwark against China and national security threats, and an innovating economic engine for American industry. This is an irresponsible embarrassment that puts us at risk.

Today saw a horrible act of violence at a weekly gathering of Boulder Jewish community members. Let’s all hope the victims will be okay with a fast recovery. We all must commit to being more careful about our rhetoric and how it can lead to people doing horrible things to others.
