@w_s_bitcoin Just because it's cope doesn't mean it isn't true. It largely depends on the message breaking through our tiny specialised algorithmic bubble.
How the Mexican standoff plays out between miners only stands to humble the ones making such confident predictions.
@SteveJReed That’s cope. Of course there’s incentive which is why the tiny amount of supporters with hashrate are currently signaling and why SegWit had a good amount signaling from the start of its signaling periods.
@SteveJReed Core didn't change what's a valid transaction, m8. Luke's the only one trying to do that. I know this stuff can be hard to learn but ffs it's been years now. Are you gonna keep being retarded about this forever?
@w_s_bitcoin It's clearly on their path to deprecate. If you're trying to make the point that Devs are deciding what is a legit transaction in Knots, that applies 10x for Core.
@SteveJReed Core removes filters they no longer believe are effective or necessary (e.g. fullrbf). But because so many people cried about this one, they left it in. And you're still crying about it...even though you probably aren't even running Core v30? 😂
Never would I have believed five years ago that I would be attacked, smeared and harassed by Adam Back, Shinobi, MrHodl and others for publishing a fully sourced investigation article about Bitcoin Core governance.
It doesn't quite feel compatible with the whole "don't trust, verify" and decentralization mantras.
It really is an unbelievable state of affairs. Appeals to authority, shaming, ad hominems, smears.... Zero engagement with the imo shocking revelations of the articles.
@flaming_hodl@ocean_mining To evaluate properly you need to stop mining and let the rewards window close out, the way the rolling reward window works makes it difficult to grasp an accurate picture.
I'm 1-2 mined blocks away from reaching @ocean_mining minimum on chain payout amount. I'll use that as an opportunity to analyze costs and post it here.
There was much experimentation during this time so it increased the cost compared to what it otherwise would have been.
@0x44_@w_s_bitcoin The way the question is first phrased is abstracting it as well. They are just polymorphs that exploit different parts of peoples limbic systems.
@SteveJReed@w_s_bitcoin There's no need to reframe the question. Doing so is just trying to abstract the problem away to justify one's fear. As fear always rationalizes.
You know people are going to choose blue, and they're especially worth saving.
@FieldNas I considered this but then you will never be able to enable lightning payouts if you want to fully drain your account with Braiins. Will need to gamify it a little bit if you want to fully extract your BTC.
Not your keys not your coins etc.
Big Brain🧠
Set my Ocean payout address to my Braiins deposit address and create a BIP110 signaling perpetual motion machine that boils the oceans.

fine print: requires periodic altruistic donations.
personal note: "sign me up."
@0x44_@w_s_bitcoin I am not even gonna pretend that I will pick Blue.
An easy reframe of the question changes the outcome: Everyone who presses Red survives, everyone who presses Blue joins a lottery for voluntary euthanasia.
@SteveJReed@w_s_bitcoin You're right to question the virtue, and in fact when the situation came down to it, you actually might find yourself voting Blue.
Personally, I just hope I don't give into fear, should it or a similar situation ever arise. I hope I'll be brave enough to pick Blue.
@w_s_bitcoin Still zero consequences. Until you stare down the barrel you don’t know how you’ll behave. The red voters you can trust are at least being honest.
@DukeDukingtonRD@LiliH65289916@NEEDcreations The difficulty adjustment also zeros it out. But that requires higher level second order thinking that spam apologists don’t seem capable of.
@SteveJReed@LiliH65289916@NEEDcreations It's not next to nothing, it's exactly nothing. Similarly whether the block rewards half or not, miners are no better or worse off. Surprises me how few understand this.
Blocks would have been basically empty for the past 2 years if it wasn't for spam txns on Bitcoin. Would the "Bitcoin is dead/no one is using bitcoin" narrative have been worse for the ecosystem overall if that were the case? I think the answer is yes....and how many more miners would be out of business by now if it weren't for these spam-filled blocks? Can we come to the shocking conclusion that spam good for Bitcoin, at least for the time being??? What do you think? #BIP110
Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.
