The VJ Starz Dance Mat turned out to be an ELAN EU3A05 (or similar) platform. VERY simple device, only 4 songs. Doesn't play properly in MAME yet, and it isn't clear if the ELAN is responsible for the music or if there's another MCU doing it.

@hokai_forple And also fails to recognize register $4008 having a completely different format. The triangle channel output lacks volume control so they replaced the envelope generator with a secondary length counter.

@MameHaze Actually, there seem to be more than 4 volume levels. It's likely an implementation of the AY-3-8910/YM2149 then. What you're assuming are the ADC registers could be the AY PSG. There are exactly 14 registers in the AY if you don't count the GPIO A/B regs.

@StinkerB06 I'd be kinda surprised if it wasn't just samples and a tracker-like thing playing them, but we'll see eventually I guess. I'm not really a sound emulation person though.

Sean dumped the Connectv Real Swing Golf version with language menu. The previous dump was English only. Elan type hardware, again no controls though.

@MameHaze I think all 6 channels can change between square wave or ADPCM, or at least 3 of them as that's the highest polyphony heard in the game.
