A real delight to visit the Glamis Adventure Playground in Shadwell. They are providing a safe and welcoming space where children can play and interact with one another.
Their many workshops and community support initiatives over the past 60 years have made a hugely positive difference to the lives of successive generations of young people.

I welcome the Met Police decision to prevent UKIP's march in Tower Hamlets from going ahead.
I met with the Met Commissioner yesterday to highlight concerns about far right protests and threats to public safety, as well as other issues affecting our borough.
This demonstration was a blatant attempt to spread division, hate and fear.
The East End stands together — our unity and diversity will always be our strength.

When @CllrSirajIslam and @unmeshdesai first contacted the Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Mayor on the 6th August - they knew they were going to have to fight hard for the station to stay open.

The news that more police front counters will remain open - with extended opening hours - for members of the public is welcome. Whilst this is an operational policing decision, this action would not have been possible without record-breaking funding from City Hall.
