It’s 2026. I don’t think there’s any Nigerian who still takes stats from StatiSense. It has become nothing more than a SouthWest propaganda machine. Unlike some of you, many of us actually travel across the South-West. Development-wise, only Lagos truly stands out when compared to the northern states I mentioned. Who cares about statistics on paper when they don’t translate into tangible benefits for ordinary citizens?

@Swiit_sam @StatiSense @RidwanuLlah I agree with your first sentence. However, States are allowed to collect certain tax; PAYE, property tax, state level levies. LG can also generate tax; those park tickets, market fees. A cumulative of all these can make a state rank higher than another which doesn’t collect it.

@Swiit_sam @StatiSense @RidwanuLlah IGR is just how much the Government is taking from civilians, the citizens may be getting poorer while the IGR keeps increasing because the government is squeezing money out of you more and more, a case study is Nigeria since 2023. GDP is what shows good economic performance.
