I remember The Whitbread used to have a sprinkling of horses who’d been placed in Gold Cups and Nationals and was a proper end of season highlight.
This year we’ve a fav who last won at Plumpton and a top weight who was tailed off at 20/1 in a Cheltenham handicap last go.

The Mel Britain horse clearly suffering a catastrophic injury there at Newcastle yet neither Andrew Thornton, Luke elder or Seb sanders have even acknowledged that there ? How incredibly poor of all 3 of them. Just because it was a big price it looks like they’re not bothered 🤔

Used to catch the train down to Stapleton Road as a 16yo to go to the BAGS dogs meetings on a Friday afternoon. What great times. How sad so many greyhound tracks have been lost and never replaced.
