Jacob has been asking for all kinds of things down his feeding tube lately—Tabasco, spicy homemade soups, you name it. Tonight mom made him another batch of her famous pizza soup, but he declined. He just typed out: “That hot stuff is making my butt burn.”… never a dull moment.

Today we’re on the road again to OSU for Jacob’s 19th clinical trial treatment (Jacifusen / ION363). It still amazes me to write that number. When Jacob was diagnosed, we were told his life expectancy was 1–3 years… and that was four years ago. Yet here he is — still fighting!
