I'm going to make some obvious points. (1) Blowing up all the oil infrastructure in the Middle East is an insane idea, and may well result in a global economic crash and humanitarian crisis unrivaled in the lives of those now living. We're talking about the price of everything everywhere rising, from food to gas, at a moment when inflation was already high. All of that will be laid at the feet of the authors of this war. (2) The antebellum status quo of Feb 27, 2026 was just not that bad, but we're unlikely to return to it. Expect indefinite, long-term, ongoing disruptions to everything out of the Middle East. (3) Also assume tech financing crashes for the indefinite future. The genius plan to get the Gulf states caught in the crossfire has incinerated much of the funding for LPs, for datacenters, and for IPOs. Anyone in tech who supported this war may soon learn the meaning of "force majeure" as funding gets yanked. (4) Many capital allocators will instead be allocating much further down Maslow's hierarchy of needs, towards useful basic things like food and energy. (5) It's fortunate that all those progressives yelled about the "climate crisis." Yes, their reasoning about timelines was wrong, and much of the money was wasted in graft, but the result was right: we all need energy independence from the Middle East, pronto. It's also fortunate that Elon and China autistically took climate seriously. Now they're going to need to ship a billion solar panels, electric vehicles, batteries, nuclear power plants, and the like to get everyone off oil, immediately. (6) It's not just an oil and gas problem, of course. It's also a fertilizer problem, and a chemical precursor problem. Maybe some new sources will come online at the new prices, but it takes time to dial stuff up, particularly at this scale, so shortages are almost a certainty. That said, China has actually scaled up coal-to-chemicals[a,c] (C2C), and there's also something more sci-fi called Power-to-X[b] which turns arbitrary power + water + air into hydrocarbons. But all of that will need to get accelerated. I have a background in chemical engineering so may start funding things in this area. (7) Ultimately, this war is going to result in tremendous blame for anyone associated with it. It's a no-win scenario to blow up this much infrastructure for so many people. Simply not worth it for whatever objective they thought they were going to attain. But unless you're actually in a position to stop the madness, the pragmatic thing to do is: scramble to mitigate the fallout to yourself, your business, and your people. The regime is collapsing in Iran but thriving in Western media and academia

The US-Israeli coalition is pivoting from decapitation strikes to attacking the Iranian regime’s last lifeline- its energy grid. Can a regime built on the theology of "resistance" survive without cash? We break down the strategic shift from a war of missiles to a war of endurance

Wow. Joe Kent just revealed the last thing Charlie Kirk said to him: “The last time I saw Charlie Kirk on this Earth was in June, in the West Wing.” “He looked me in the eye and he said … Joe, stop us from getting into a war with Iran.” “One of President Trump’s closest advisors was vocally advocating for us to not go to war with Iran and for us to rethink, at least, our relationship with the Israelis.” “And then he’s suddenly publicly assassinated and we’re not allowed to ask any questions about that?” “The investigation that I was a part of [with] the National Counterterrorism Center, we were stopped from continuing to investigate.” “But there was still a lot for us to look into that I can’t really get into.” “There’s unanswered questions.” “We know, because of the text messages that have been made public, that Charlie was under a lot of pressure from a lot of pro-Israel donors.” @joekent16jan19 @TuckerCarlson

Fox News obtained a photo of Michigan synagogue attacker Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, sent to his sister in Lebanon on the day of the attack, showing him holding what authorities believe is the same rifle used in the assault, @BillMelugin_ reported. The image reportedly included Arabic text referencing martyrdom and revenge, which was redacted. Ghazali, a Lebanon-born U.S. citizen, entered the United States legally in 2011 and was naturalized in 2016. According to the Israel Defense Forces, one of his brothers was a Hezbollah rocket commander killed in a recent Israeli airstrike in Lebanon.

Confidence | Israeli Defense Minister Katz announced the elimination of Iran's intelligence minister, who was responsible for suppressing the Iranian people. He said that the intensity of Israeli attacks in Iran is escalating. Today, we should expect significant surprises on all fronts (including Lebanon). The IDF has standing orders to eliminate any senior Iranian figure in the crosshairs without the need for further approval from the political echelon.

The group Catholics for Catholics is one of the most revolting, antisemitic Jew hater, racist cult organizations spewing the most disgusting vitriol against Jews and Israel while promoting the worse of the worse hatemongering antisemitic Jew haters like Candace Owens and Carrie Prejean Boller. Catholics for Catholics was set up in 2022 by antisemitic racist John Yep to insert itself into the MAGA political spectrum to take advantage of President Trump's goal of reaching out to Catholics and other segments of society for the 2024 election. Through scheming marketing, Yep began holding "events" featuring well known Catholics to gain a foothold in President Trump's political world. That included holding an event at Mar-a-Lago which manipulated people into believing Catholics for Catholics was an established, legitimate entity. But then reality set in as Yep began promoting antisemitic Jew hatred and the nightmarish, unbiblical hate of Candace Owen, Carrie Prejean Boller and other anti-Israel mouthpieces. Prior to setting up Catholics for Catholics in 2022, John Yep was involved with antisemitic racist Father James Altman and his organization Blood of the Martyrs. Altman has spewed venemous, racist evil. Father Altman claimed in a racist homily that he had done "research" on lynchings. He said that his "research" indicated that lynchings were caused by "homicides and rapes." He taught from the pulpit that lynchings were "capital punishment," then added "carried out by a mob, which is never good," as a sop. Altman was removed from ministry by the bishop in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Perhaps nothing is more despicable about Catholics for Catholics founder John Yep than his social media post in December where he called antisemitic Jew hater Candace Owen, "Charlie Kirk's 'David'" after Kirk was assassinated and Owen relentlessly smeared Charlie Kirk's widow Erika and spread the most despicable lies and conspiracy theories about Erika Kirk. Truly, these are some of the most depraved, hateful opportunistic deceivers in recent political history. Anyone who participates in their events is permanently damaging their reputations and credibility.

I'm yet to see a single Christian Westerner speak out against the closure of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The most sacred site in Christianity. In occupied Quds (Jerusalem), Palestine. Illegally locked by the jewish occupation. Where is the defence of your own holy place?

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this
