@Kaynouky Bah non, ça n'a jamais été le plan qu'Orion aille en LLO dans le cadre d'Artemis IV. Il a toujours été question que le HLS aille se docker à Orion en NRHO.

@TechSpatiales Je vois surtout dans cette proposition une tentative de compenser pour l’incapacité d’Orion à se placer en LLO.

La NASA semble en train de réviser l'architecture des missions d'atterrissage d'Artemis. Au lieu d'avoir Orion qui rejoint le HLS de SpaceX en NRHO avant de se poser sur la Lune, Orion rejoindrait le HLS directement sur orbite terrestre. La rôle de SLS se rétrécit à vue d'œil.

@Kaynouky Je pense surtout que si cette proposition passe, la suivante sera très clairement l'annulation de SLS. Sans Gateway ni Orion au-delà du LEO, SLS ne sert plus à rien dans Artemis.

Alright, the Senate insists we use SLS for the first few Orion flights to the Moon. Whatever. BUT… if SLS is only boosting Orion into LEO, how much delta-V is that leaving on the table? And what could we do with it? Could we stuff a dozen 1-meter space telescopes underneath Orion? Or a couple of Enceladus landers?

@NunoSeletti Le HLS a le dV pour ça d'après des calculs coin de table, par contre je ne suis pas sur qu'il arrivera à se remettre sur orbite terrestre à la fin, mais pourrait devoir revenir dans l'atmosphère après avoir largué Orion.

@TechSpatiales Je ne comprends pas l'intérêt... Dépenser autant d'argent dans le SLS pour ne pas l'utiliser. Et je vois pas comment le HSL peut faire à la fois le TLI, ce mettre en orbite lunaire, atterri, puis revenir à Orion et le repropulser vers la terre... Il va manquer de fuel

16/03/2026: Chapitre 21 terminé. Je viens de dépasser les 90% du storyboard terminé. En route pour le chapitre 22/24.

26/02/2026: Le chapitre 13 a reçu quelques corrections, et j'avance doucement sur le chapitre 21. C'est difficile à illustrer ces chapitres programmatiques et politiques. Bref, peu d'avancées ce mois-ci... mais des avancées quand même. Et aussi :

29/12/2023: faire un storyboard ultra détaillé, seconde par seconde avec toutes les informations possibles, c'est très chronophage et demande de la génération d'images 3D, etc. 1min de vidéo me prend environ 2h de travail. Juste pour le storyboard hein, pas la vraie vidéo encore.

@brickmack @TechSpatiales MEO - like LEO - is okay as long as you hit the graveyard orbits. There's lots of space up there and not many satellites right now. GTO is where you really want disposal. They *do* reenter eventually but they have some really annoying orbits like 200km x 10000km first.

Dans le sens contraire de la tendance mondiale, la FAA vient de supprimer la régulation qui oblige les lanceurs US à désorbiter leurs étages supérieurs après usage, qui les forçait jusque là à retomber sur Terre sous 25 ans. La FAA autorise donc davantage de débris sur orbite.

One month ago, I received an infusion of the Pemgarda monoclonal antibody, paired with 30 days of Paxlovid. Here's everything that I've noticed since. But first, some context: The original infusion was supposed to happen one month previously. I was housebound, but could work a full day remote and have friends visit, etc. and was desparate to improve. I had identified that I was the ideal patient: I had a May 2022 infection, no mast cell issues, and was hypoimmune per Attomarker. I had been waiting for months, patiently navigating the prescription and insurance process, when, one day before the appointment, I had an adverse reaction to a tirzepatide microdose and sunk into a nightmare bedbound crash. I rescheduled the appointment no less than 10 different times: every time the date came, I would crash again. I was truly lower than I ever could have imagined in my life: at the bottom, I lay still 19 hours a day with eye mask on and only my thoughts as company. After three weeks of rolling PEM, I managed to stabilize, slowly improving for five days in a row until I felt I was ready. I had discovered that Ativan/lorazepam blunted my PEM, and on the day of the appointment, I took 1mg and had a friend transport me in a folding wheelchair. Everything went without incident, and upon returning home, I took a two hour nap, which I felt was a good sign that something was happening because I'm generally unable to nap during PEM. The next day, thanks to Ativan, there wasno crash, and I got a very slight tinge of flu-like symptoms and observed that I felt a bit warmer (no change in actual body temperature, though). The day after that, the waves of immune symptoms started: bleary feeling, malaise, culminating in a night where it literally felt like the viral pockets in my gut were being zapped - I perceived them as electric jolts. I had two more days of immune activity after this, but much diminished. From the infusion day until today, my condition has continued to very gradually and very inconsistently improve. DISCLAIMER: Because I was already improving five days before the infusion, I am unable to separate the effects of Pemgarda from the general phenomenon of "coming out of a really bad crash", and I don't think I ever will. However, here is a comparison of where I was pre-infusion versus now: - Heavy parasympathetic dominance (hypnic jerks, comatose states) is completely gone - Freaked out that even rolling to the bathroom would make me crash, vs. now feel completely stable - Room had to be completely dark vs. now have the curtains 1/4 open the whole day - Could only look at phone for a minute at a time, then 30s break, versus now can look for 5-10 minutes at a time - Could not use laptop at all vs. can now use laptop up to an hour a day with many breaks - Had to visualize and telegraph many movements in bed vs. now have almost complete freedom of movement while lying, can even sit up at times - Could only speak in bits and bops to friends visiting, vs. can now have an hour and a half conversation with two 10 minute breaks in between - Could not talk on phone at all vs. can now do a 25 minute phone call Again, are these simply me coming out of the crash, or due to Pemgarda? We will never know, and I'm not drawing any conclusions - simply reporting what happened. I'm happy to answer any questions about the Pemgarda process. @SekYo_FR @ufotinik Attention relisez-bien ce que j'ai dit. Je n'ai pas dit qu'une grosse boite est condamnée à être une caricature d'administration. J'ai (juste) dit qu'à 13.000 on est fatalement moins funky que quand on est 2.000. Et pas que pour des mauvaises raisons.

@TechSpatiales @ufotinik En théorie (notamment au 21ème siècle avec les outils modernes) tu pourrais être moins funky sans avoir des multiples couches de managers et VP qui sont plus intéressés par leurs PPT et dashboard de KPIs que par ce qui se passe sur le terrain. Bon en théorie seulement...

On entend de plus en plus d’ingénieurs de SpaceX se plaindre d’un management déconnecté de la technique et obsédé par des Indicateur Clé de Performance soupoudré d’un service RH abusif. SpaceX semble devenir tout ce qu’Elon déteste. M’est d’avis qu’une purge ne va pas tarder.

@ufotinik Bien sur qu'il peut purger, par contre tu ne trouveras pas 13.000 mecs en short, et surtout ces 13.000 mecs en short sont taillés pour être disruptifs, pas pour assurer la qualité des Starlink, maintenir la conformité des Crew Dragon aux standard NASA, etc. Il te faut du senior.

Des boîtes pleins de séniorité, sclérosées jusqu’à la moelle qui se font battre par des mecs en short sous des tentes dans un désert y’en a plein. Musk a purgé plusieurs fois des pans entiers de ses sociétés notamment chez Tesla. Il est en train de le faire avec xAI. Je ne pense pas qu’il agira différemment avec SpaceX s’il le pense utile (à tord ou a raison)
