The whole purpose of unsubscribing from marketing emails is so that I DON'T get marketing emails... apparently @Citibank and @AmericanAir think I want marketing emails (sent as transactional email) to get me to re-subscribe to their marketing emails?!?!

I haven’t talked about this topic in a very long time so am generally curious: What does your monitoring/observability stack look like in 2022? What are the tools you’re using? Any particular SaaS vendor you love? Any feature or tool that’s been particularly impactful?

@honeycombio Friday deploys: All the things! :) Well, not quite... we have some deploys that'll wait until Monday, but we had 7 other deploys that have already gone out today. We don't have a hard and fast rule in either direction - it's up to the teams/devs to make a decision for each deploy

@QuinnyPig @awscloud If you’re already tagging S3 buckets with a Name tag (so that billing by bucket is less difficult), and you have consolidated billing, the Cost Explorer would be my choice… but I also realize that’s a lot of ifs. 🤷‍♀️

@martinisoft @github Gitlab Runner can run locally, or even just a single job from your yaml. I’d count GitLab CI as a major service these days.

Still a gripe to this day that I can't run anything CI/CD locally for [insert major service here] with exception of @github actions using a 3rd party kit and even that has some limitations, but better than nothing (github.com/nektos/act)

People's Gas refuses to disconnect service because they don't have access to the meter, and my old landlord doesn't have an owner agreement set up. So I'm forced to pay the gas bill until the landlord does something about it.
