I am a graphics programmer, and here's my feedback on Apple's Liquid Glass beta. The idea is cool, but it's difficult to work with from a UX perspective.
Let's start with the main problems:
1 - Low Contrast: It's clearly not readable, but there are many different ways to fix it.

@SlimboJankins @4pple21361367 @nate_sinnott1 @productbone Nobody is discounting that PZ requires effort. The point is that GB requires a larger set of skills and has challenges that require more effort, while being a lateral pay scale.

@SlimboJankins @4pple21361367 @nate_sinnott1 @productbone However, it’s easier to talk about AppleCare when a customer is happy and making a new purchase than when their stuff is broken and the alternative is to pay hundreds of dollars, while not being able to retrieve their data, etc. GB has to do the appt AND sell products/services

And even then, they got the intros from customers who intentionally came into an Apple Store. Commission here would be like commission at Starbucks.

@SlimboJankins @4pple21361367 @nate_sinnott1 @productbone Capturing a serial number, asking if they know their Apple ID, and writing basic descriptions is NOT the same cross functional work. The only people who think PZ and GB are equal are people who are in PZ. As someone who’s done both, they most definitely are not.

Everything about this no queue for shopping screams “ just shove everything in a closet, before company comes over”. Don’t want to report on long wait times? Just stop taking names. Can’t say it’s a problem if you don’t track it . Corporate wants to watch retail burn ISTG 🙄
