Beijing issued an alert telling its citizens to "strengthen safety awareness" when entering the United States.
They also said to specifically avoid the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Protecting our women and children is not up for debate. It is the absolute priority and I will treat it that way.
I will drive a zero-tolerance crackdown on anyone who targets the vulnerable. Grooming, rape, sexual assault, exploitation, if you commit these crimes, you will be pursued, exposed, and brought to justice. No excuses. No cover-ups. No more failures.
I will work directly with police, community leaders, and residents to make sure intelligence is acted on immediately. Too many warnings have been ignored in the past, that ends here.
There will be a visible, constant presence where it matters most. Outside schools. Around parks. In high-risk areas. Our children will be protected, and our communities will feel that protection every single day.
I will push for fast-track action on known sexual offenders and stronger monitoring of those already flagged as a risk. If you are a danger to women and children, you will not be allowed to operate freely in this area.
I have absolute zero tolerance for anyone preying on the vulnerable. That line is firm.
I also want a full, uncompromising review of all housing in the area that is linked to crime, disorder, or safeguarding risks. Any HMO, temporary accommodation, or property that is unsafe, overcrowded, or being misused will be investigated and shut down where necessary.
This is not theory, this is real. Recently, someone I personally know had a non British intruder enter their home at night while their children were asleep. That should never happen. Ever. And the fact it did shows just how serious this has become.
We need control, oversight, and accountability restored, urgently.
I will fight to ensure that British born families, especially homeless single mothers and fathers with children, are taken out of temporary hotel accommodation and placed into stable, long-term housing where they belong.
Any landlord found to be acting illegally, whether through fraudulent lettings, benefit abuse, or unsafe housing practices, should face full legal consequences. Their properties should be brought back under proper control and used to serve the British community fairly.
Public money must be spent in a way that protects and benefits the community. I will demand full transparency and ensure residents have a direct say in how resources are used.
This is about restoring order.
This is about protecting families.
This is about drawing a clear line, and enforcing it.
Our women will feel safe again.
Our children will be protected.
And those who threaten that will be dealt with, properly, lawfully, and without hesitation. We will not gamble with the safety of our women and children.
