@jaimemaggio Definitely a Raft-ism thatโ€™s been grandfathered in. But I donโ€™t think the editors will allow you Jamie to use that one on the air. ๐Ÿคฃ

@SamGannon87 The blueprint was there to steal it tonight. Had to play the perfect game to do it. Just couldnโ€™t make enough shots to put it all together.

Great season for UConn but they were a bit outmatched tonight. Had their opportunities. Good for the Wolverines.

@schadjoe And folks are still complaining about that. Itโ€™s as, if the tip isnโ€™t 8:10 PM, any other time is too long. The algorithm has been putting this complaint out there today as if this hasnโ€™t been the case for over 4 1/2 decades and just showed up this year.

@dougmchone @AndrewBrandt To do what you are asking, colleges would have to label them employees. They donโ€™t want to do that. Never have. Full stop. The schools consider their sports an โ€œextracurricular activityโ€ that happens to make billions. Once that is the position, everything else after is a wrap.

@AndrewBrandt "Student" athletes. Universities should be able to sign them to multi-year contracts and trade them.

Hear the narrative that collective bargaining will "fix" college sports. But bargaining between who? NCAA? Conferences? Schools? Football? Basketball? Womenโ€™s sports? Olympic sports? All 300 Division 1 schools? Public universities? Private? States that don't allow it? Reality.

@JackMac Fair point athletes should get paid their current market value. But the real issue is many mid-tier players chasing big NIL cash are skipping real degrees and life skills, setting themselves up for a brutal reality check post-eligibility.

@chibbs_1 How much should they be paid for it to be โ€œin hand?โ€ No one has been to provide a successful legal reason why their income should be capped that doesnโ€™t violate federal law. The market has set the price. And itโ€™s clear the market values them as such.

It is so frustrating is that when UConn wins, itโ€™s because โ€œthe other team played badโ€ โ€œDuke chokedโ€ โ€œIllinois missed shots they shouldnโ€™t haveโ€ No UConn WON. Because UConn was better. The better coach. The better team Thereโ€™s nothing fluky about it. Credit the champs

โ€œUnderwood just got out-coached tonightโ€ Have you considered Illinois justโ€ฆmissed shots they normally make? Hurley is a great coach but letโ€™s not act like if even half of these go down UConn doesnโ€™t go home. Sometimes the shots just donโ€™t fall.

The NBA is the only sport that gets judged by its worst teams lol No one is bitching about the Twins Rays game yesterday being boring, theyโ€™re talking about Konnor Griffin No one cares that Penn state vs northwestern hoops sucks, everyone is pumped for Michigan vs Arizona
