@dougmchone @AndrewBrandt To do what you are asking, colleges would have to label them employees. They donโt want to do that. Never have. Full stop. The schools consider their sports an โextracurricular activityโ that happens to make billions.

@JackMac Fair point athletes should get paid their current market value. But the real issue is many mid-tier players chasing big NIL cash are skipping real degrees and life skills, setting themselves up for a brutal reality check post-eligibility.
