@RocCityBuilt @robin_j_brooks US knows it pretty well in the first term of Trump, that’s why their action of tariff even close allies shows that friendshoring is not viable in this second terms in my opinion.

That is good. But won't tariffs be necessary on others as well, otherwise goods from China will come to US via other countries like Vietnam and Mexico? Seems like we need others, EU, UK, Canada, Japan, Mexico to agree to put the same tariffs on China we do and then we can all more readily trade amongst each other.

Markets have ignored President Trump's China tariffs, as they think they're a negotiating tool and can quickly fall by the wayside like for Canada, Colombia and Mexico. That's wrong. Underlying motivation is totally different. China tariffs are here to stay and will go higher...
