@spittinchiclets @BizNasty2point0 I love how people are bringing up other boarding calls and being like “ wHY is THis NOT a SUSpentIon” the Greer hit was so much worse than the average boarding penalty. It’s like slashing a guy in the face and asking why a slash in the hands did not get the same penalty.

The boys were BAFFLED that AJ Greer only received a 3 game suspension.

@JasonGregor Do we know the minutes Dicky played against the top lines? On the Blackhawk’s he was eating around 50% of his TOI against elite competition. I know it’s one game, but I think fans/media personalities think that he won’t be implemented in this way. I think it’s a fair concern

Not factual. Fourth line all had less TOI. Dickinson and his linemates, Podkolzin and Kapanen ranked 9th, 8th and 7th respectively at 5x5 as most 3rd lines would. Oilers trailed the game for final 48 minutes. In third period when it was 4-3 in the final 8 minutes of game Dickinson had one shift. He isn't an offensive player. Why would coach play him that much late in a game when trailing? There are many things to rip on Knoblauch about. He needs to stop loading up 97/29. It hasn't worked like it has in the past and some others.... Jordan Staal is a great defensive 3C. He played 11:31 at 5x5 and Dickinson played 10:07. Stall had three shifts when game was 4-3 as Hurricanes were holding onto lead. This tweet is rage bait and illustrates a lack of understanding the role of a defensive 3C. If the Oilers are holding a lead late in the third and Dickinson has one shift in the 7 minutes, then 100% coach should be ripped. But last night is not the time to play a defensive centre way more minutes.

@Lowetide C+ Addressed some of the needs. That being a shutdown D man and 3rd line Center that are excellent PKers. Goaltending still an issue. Bowman is giving solutions but knob still wants Mcdavid/ Drai lines facing other teams top lines 80%+ of the time.

To say fans that don’t like this trade or the asset management because they think they would be able to find a superstar in a late round draft pick is arrogant. That’s my point. Also don’t mind it

Things I find interesting is how much people overvalue late first round NHL draft picks. I think when people see 1st rounder some equate it to MacKinnon, McDavid and Makar type players. From 2011-2020 players drafted 25th-32nd and a total of 36.6% played 250+ NHL games. Can't go later because very few in that slot have been in league long enough to know what they will be. You can get good players in those spots, no doubt, even elite like Pastrnak, but they are rare.

@Benscrivensgoat It’s not about the pick. It’s about asset management. I don’t mind the trade… could workout. It does address a defensive need. But that might have been a second or third if we didn’t need to lose a contract and that first could have been another good player in trade. Never know
