@BumblebeeTrust I sacrificed the corner of a raised bed in the poly tunnel to a Rosemary but so worth it as it flowers almost all year. Today it was buzzing with bees. Turn the sound up an you get a passing curlew too! @curlewcalls @CurlewCountry

@BumblebeeTrust My lavender hedge across the sunny side of my house has been bouncing with bees of all sorts all summer. A quick walk along one half now and there are at least 10. You can just hear the buzz over the strong wind.

@B_Strawbridge Very sharp talons, he got one stuck in the greenhouse glass overlap enabling me to pick him up gently to free him. Just a fabulous memory as no spare hand for a photo.

@ThompsonRosey Lucky you! My husband said his talons were as sharp as needles when they dug into his finger, but what an experience.

My husband is away visiting his uncle in Herefordshire. They'd just finished watching the Rugby when this young Sparrow Hawk flew in through the open front door, and into the living room. Rob managed to pick him up and take him outside again... but just look at those eyes!
