In 1963 Medgar Evers, an activist and WWII Veteran was assassinated in front of his family while holding NAACP “Jim Crow Must Go” T-shirts.
After fighting for this country Mr. Evers was still not allowed to vote.
He fought until he was murdered for the advancement of Black people.
On May 3, 2024 Medgar Wiley Evers was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Partly because of racism, and also because people of color and Black people are more likely to vote Democrat, Republicans want to make it so they have the legal ability to gerrymander the sh*t out of the country to make it harder for their votes to count as much as white people’s votes do.
