@runthenumberz @Jo_cypto @PierrePoilievre I think I remember prior to the last federal election, Musk endorsed Mr. Poilievre and Pierre welcomed the idea of Tesla opening factories in Canada. I don’t think he’s against the idea of solar. He seems to be focusing on all types of energy and not just O&G

Well if you own a company it’s not so bad. You can only amortize for so many years so it kind of makes sense to buy a new one every so often. I bought a new chev 2500 series for around 100k (canadian money) I was able to claim it over 4 years on my company’s taxes. I then sold it for 65 k when the used truck market was hot after covid. So yeah it makes perfect business sense to pay that kind of price. It makes perfect sense for dealership to charge that much too but if you are buying a new truck out of pocket you are getting ripped.

Would you pay nearly $100K for a TRUCK?! It's either that or a house, tough call - maybe you can live in the truck. 😵‍💫

@SParchewski @alphafox They do use vegetable oil. Chain saw exhaust is pointed the other direction away from the fis and as the OP who Alpha stole the video from pointed out, the buyer puts a fresh cut on it at the dock when they buy it to ship.

4-500 lbs dressed out. No one wants to buy the giant ones anyway. That’s actually a bit heavy for a perfect market fish. 2-300 lbs is what my buyer wants. No restaurant wants to buy that much tuna at once in case it’s a lemon. Fishermen only get a few to catch so it’s better to have a smaller run to hedge your bet a little if that makes any sense.

@alphafox I know this guy actually. They use the chainsaw strictly for this job and use vegetable oil on the chain.

@IronRiderTim1 @alphafox Salmon is 100% farmed here on the east coast. I’m a fisherman and it’s one of the few seafoods I won’t touch. Wildcaught only please

@Name03813069 @MaximeBernier Oh I agree that we can’t just let everyone in to Canada. But we also need to slowly increase our population here. Not like the liberals have done by just letting everyone in. The conservatives are the only ones that make sense. Bernier is an idiot.

Rogan: So you're not opposed to them (fake refugees) being there. You're opposed to them getting Canadian welfare. Poilievre: Well, I'm opposed to them. If they're not real refugees, they shouldn't be brought in as refugees. I think we have to distinguish between those people who are actually in danger in their home country, which is the definition of a refugee, and someone who just wants to come in excess of their proper immigration dream. (…) Poilievre: (..) we are trying to unwind that ( the larger number of temporary foreign workers) now. Rogan: How do you do that? Poilievre: Well, when their work permit and their visitor visa runs out, then we have to encourage them to head back lawfully. Rogan: Right ? But you don't want to do it ice style.  Poilievre: No. No. I don't think we need to do that. I just think we have to be orderly and lawful about it. Rogan: And is that supported by the Canadian people?  Poilievre: Yes. Because we're a very welcoming country. We're a nation of immigrants, but we're also a nation of laws. And there's a general consensus across the spectrum in Canada that the population growth was too fast for like four or five years. And so we're trying to unwind that. Now,  Poilievre is therefore prepared to tolerate these fake refugees here in Canada like Carney. The next step for him will be to grant them permanent residency. No @PierrePoilievre they must be DEPORTED! Poilievre also stated that when foreign workers' work permits and visitor visas expire, we must ENCOURAGE them to leave the country legally. No @PierrePoilievre our law must be respected and enforced. They must be DEPORTED! Pierre, we are not a nation of immigrants. I am a descendant of settlers. This country was built by French, English, Irish and European settlers.

I’m on your side so don’t take this the wrong way. I think Canadians do have a right to be pissed at Trump and all this 51’st state bullshit. Pierre explained it well on Rogan’s podcast. The problem came when the media and to their credit, liberals associated Canadian conservatives with the US MAGA movement. We had a 10 point lead and lost it. We got outplayed. If I were American I would have voted for Trump over the woke left too but he’s a loose cannon and nothing like what Canadians want in office. I like PP but we have to do a better job somehow next time. I think the way he spoke on this podcast was a good step. Not so much an attack dog but more just explaining to the average listener that we can do better with conservatives in charge. Cheers

The day when people in Canada realize that Trump is not the sick villain he is portrayed to be will be the beginning of the end of Carney and the Liberals. Canada's emotional rage towards Trump and his allies is not good for the country, but it was for the Liberal Party. The Liberals knew they could not campaign over a decade of failure, corruption and economic decline; so, with the cooperation of journalists from our dear subsidized media, they instead focused on Trump and his team. The country is head first in a recession, but it doesn't matter. Canadians will follow Carney from a cliff if they think it will give Trump a middle finger. The Liberals have made the hatred of Donald Trump their whole personality. Like idiots, Canadians are easily persuaded and have not yet awakened to reality. If Canadians devoted even a fraction of their rage against Trump to demanding accountability from their own government, this country would be in much better shape. Unfortunately, you cannot reason with insanity.

@JacksCasket @Maverich440378 @TheoMoudakis Funny Jack because I’m Canadian and the seafood I catch every year feeds 100’s of thousands of Americans. I thought Trumps whole issue was that you have a trade deficit with Canada. Dumbass

I watched this, so now you have to. Witness a horrible person that talks like a 16 year old valley girl discuss in her bizarre reality what she thought of the interview between Rogan and Pierre. What a petty jealous person who, instead of just leaving it alone just had to say something.

This is so disappointing. The Conservative Party is supposed to be the voice of reason, tradition, and common sense. I am so sick and tired of this post-national delusion. This is our home, not some slogan, corporate logo, or science project.

@abortgayadults @JamesDueck We need immigration. It just has to be done right. There are lots of Canadian’s from all over the world that contribute. They can’t bring their drama with them and they can’t all work at Tim Horton’s but we have a lot of resources to tap

@JamesDueck Canada needs to stop all immigration, all foreign aid, and all temporary work/student visas. Rewire the nation entirely - no more putting other people, other countries, or other agendas first. Only your own people, nation, and culture.

Joe Rogan asks Pierre Polievre if he's talked to Trump about the tariffs, etc. Poilievre says he hasn't as he believes in one prime minsiter at a time to do the negotiating. He adds that he has been texting PM Carney about his trip as they both want what's best for Canada
