Those words carry real weight and actively harm people in the community. Minimizing them doesn’t make the behavior acceptable it reveals a lack of accountability

@lioliosidise Fair point. It is very plot-relevant, so it's hard to dismiss entirely. Still, with Sindel’s previous feats being so vague and low-end, the Cetrion fight feels like a massive spike that relies on very specific circumstances. That’s probably why it remains so debated.

@TylerDaNaze I can see, I think the reasons why it's still debated is that it's too plot-relevant in Aftermath to pass off as an one-time thing and everything before that on Sindel's end was too vague (depending on what scaling for MK in general) to definitely call Aftermath an outlier.

Mileena vs Sindel was just insulting on a story level beyond just the absurd powerscaling.

@lioliosidise Yeah I agree. Most of Sindel’s feats are pretty vague, so Aftermath really is a massive leap. That’s why I see the Cetrion win more as a high-end/contextual moment rather than her new consistent baseline

@lioliosidise It feels like the story is forcing the outcome rather than showing Sindel’s natural power level. That kind of plot-required boost is exactly why many view it as contextual rather than a new consistent baseline.

@TylerDaNaze I can see the logic on the first one. Does the second one affect durability? The third just further supports my point.

@lioliosidise And as for the third point (narrative setup), it actually weakens the scaling for me. The entire reason Shang Tsung revives Sindel is because he needs someone who can harm an Elder God for his plan.

@lioliosidise On the second one (Cetrion being conflicted): Yes, it does affect the feat. In the story she’s shown as emotionally torn and hesitant, which directly impacts how seriously she’s fighting. A true fully committed, bloodlusted Cetrion would logically be much harder to put down.
