@lioliosidise Fair point. It is very plot-relevant, so it's hard to dismiss entirely. Still, with Sindel’s previous feats being so vague and low-end, the Cetrion fight feels like a massive spike that relies on very specific circumstances. That’s probably why it remains so debated.
English

@TylerDaNaze I can see, I think the reasons why it's still debated is that it's too plot-relevant in Aftermath to pass off as an one-time thing and everything before that on Sindel's end was too vague (depending on what scaling for MK in general) to definitely call Aftermath an outlier.
English

Mileena vs Sindel was just insulting on a story level beyond just the absurd powerscaling.
rin@sugarcookies808
what was the most bs fight in mk history
English

@lioliosidise Yeah I agree. Most of Sindel’s feats are pretty vague, so Aftermath really is a massive leap. That’s why I see the Cetrion win more as a high-end/contextual moment rather than her new consistent baseline
English

@TylerDaNaze Amusingly enough, most of Sindel's feats are pretty vague on that regard.
It's true tho that Aftermath is a massive leap from what was previously implied.
English

@lioliosidise It feels like the story is forcing the outcome rather than showing Sindel’s natural power level. That kind of plot-required boost is exactly why many view it as contextual rather than a new consistent baseline.
English

@TylerDaNaze I can see the logic on the first one.
Does the second one affect durability?
The third just further supports my point.
English

@lioliosidise And as for the third point (narrative setup), it actually weakens the scaling for me. The entire reason Shang Tsung revives Sindel is because he needs someone who can harm an Elder God for his plan.
English

@lioliosidise On the second one (Cetrion being conflicted): Yes, it does affect the feat. In the story she’s shown as emotionally torn and hesitant, which directly impacts how seriously she’s fighting. A true fully committed, bloodlusted Cetrion would logically be much harder to put down.
English

@lioliosidise Oh, Glad the first point makes sense!
Little bit worried on that
English

@lioliosidise That's why many people treat it as a high-end/contextual feat rather than her new baseline.
English

@TylerDaNaze I'll say, it is certainly very vague about how much of the damage Cetrion took in the way with the way that sequence of events gets framed, tho giving her the majority of the credit seems accurate enough.
As for Cetrion being conflicted, do we know if this affects durability?
English

@lioliosidise That's fair. I agree the sequence is framed to give Sindel the spotlight.
English

@lioliosidise Cetrion was conflicted, already damaged by Nightwolf, and not at full power. It feels more like a narrative tool to make the new story work rather than a consistent, repeatable feat for base Sindel
English

@TylerDaNaze I mean, sure, writing-wise, it's plot armor and very most likely just NRS trying to gas up their new evil queen, but from a scaling perspective, it is an established plot mechanic that is consistently shown in the story.
English

@lioliosidise I understand what you mean, it is presented as an in-universe mechanic that certain characters can harm Elder Gods. But the main issue is how much scaling weight we put on that specific moment.
English

@Obeizian @sikander555A Have you seen what he's said or what he's done?
English

@lioliosidise I think they just did that just for plot armor. I think when NRS was making the Aftermath DLC, they needed someone to defeat Cetrion and they made up a way for Sindel with the aid of Nightwolf to defeat her. Kinda what they did with Jax and Jackie chapter
English

@TylerDaNaze I mean, having a full-on gameplay segment with Sindel as the main and Nightwolf as the assist should make things clear.
Now, whether Sindel could harm Cetrion through sheer power or just hax is irrelevant outside of powerscaling discussions.
English

@TylerDaNaze @nycfurby @bum163 You can a lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink. This applies here.
English

Once again…you should have recieved the blessing. I crush narcissists. Instead you asked me something that you already did.
Foolish. I would have gladly given you a blessing.
I even made peace with @bum163 after years of us going back and forth. I won’t attack him. You have to learn the hard way.

My man, I asked you one question and you can’t even answer that? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Oooooooh spooky little Grok is gonna divine intervention me. *Shivers*
English

@MaxStuettgen @RadioGenoa And what have they ever done to you exactly? It's sad but expected for someone like you
English

@striderzero96 @nycfurby @bum163 I think he needs therapy because his mental health is just really so sad. Acting like he's a judge and that he's above everyone else, acting like he is forgiven by the trans community when he refuses to condemn his past transphobic tweets, he's "popular" ect ect.
English

@TylerDaNaze @nycfurby @bum163 Oh I know. I see his post/replies from time to time whenever I’m scrolling. It’s just sad really.
Also, he says so much stuff about burning down the community etc. Personally, I don’t care, but it’s funny how none of that has happened/will never happen. 🥴
English

@nycfurby So said the twitter user with narcissistic tendencies who really seems like to avoid accountability and acting like he's doing something to actually take down the FGC
English

@striderzero96 @nycfurby @bum163 He's a narcissist. He'll never answer your question nor take accountability for anything he said
