48 hours after we hosted James Fishback (@j_fishback) at the largest Candidate event at UF in nearly 10 years, @UF terminated our organization. They cited the FFCR, an organization that we are not a part of that has no authority over our chapter. We are proud members of a different organization, @uscollegegop. We look forward to the University reinstating our club and correcting this statement. We have retained counsel and have received information that this is not the first time that FFCR has lied to silence christian conservative groups on campus.
FLORIDA@UF

The University of Florida was recently informed by the Florida Federation of College Republicans (FFCR) that it has disbanded the local chapter of College Republicans (the Local CR).  This request is based on the FFCR’s findings that some Local CR members engaged in a pattern of conduct that violated its rules and values, including a recent antisemitic gesture. The FFCR also requested that the university deactivate the Local CR as a registered student organization while it looks to reorganize and pursue reinstatement under new student leadership. The University of Florida has emphatically supported its Jewish community and remains committed to preventing and addressing antisemitism and other forms of discrimination and harassment that are threatening and disruptive to our students and to the teaching, research and expressive activities of the campus community. The university also supports the rights of organizations, such as the FFCR, to take decisive action in addressing conduct that is antithetical to its principles. In compliance with its policies, the University of Florida is in the process of deactivating the Local CR as a registered student organization.  When the FFCR is ready, the university will also assist it with reactivating the Local CR under new student leadership.

The ex-DOGE staffers are being viciously targeted with weaponized lawfare. They dared to take the system head-on, striving to remove degeneracy and corruption from the federal government. America needs more fearless young PATRIOTS like these to step up and fight for its future!

Update on @UFCR v. @UF Our Motion for preliminary injunction was filed last night—briefing schedule to be set next week

Anthony Sabatini@AnthonySabatini

JUST FILED a lawsuit on behalf of my client, the @UFCR University of Florida College Republicans, for First Amendment retaliation under 42 USC Section 1983–against @UF. The University of Florida punitively deactivated and shut down the UFCR, in response to alleged viewpoints expressed by a member of UFCR, and in an effort to silence the club and chill its future speech. After the deactivation, UF sought to justify its unlawful decision by providing a false pretext as a basis, asserting that it had acted at the behest of a third-party group, the Florida Federation of College Republicans (FFCR), a group with no authority over or affiliation with UFCR. No university policy, rule, or law provides UF a lawful basis for the deactivation. We are seeking an emergency preliminary injunction.

John Birch Society
John Birch Society@The_JBS·
Over the weekend, the University of Florida disbanded their College Republicans chapter on nebulous accusations of "Antisemitism" Before overviewing the Facts, let us be perfectly clear: The 1st Amendment protects Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Peacable Assembly for political organizations on campus. There is no "Hate Speech" exception to the 1st Amendment. THE FACTS: -The University of Florida claims it was informed by the Florida Federation of College Republicans, who are not the parent organization of UFCR -48 hours prior, UFCR hosted candidate for Florida Governor James Fishback at an event with 500+ attendees. Fishback, polling at 5% in traditional polls and 12% on Kelshi betting markets, has consistently publicly critiqued Israel on the campaign trail. -The National Federation of College Republicans, a smaller and unaffiliated College Republican organization, supported this action retweeting Florida Senator Rick Scott's support of the disbanding. -College Republicans of America, the parent organization of UFCR, have been under pressure from figures such as Joel Berry, James Lindsay, Mark Levin, and the ADL for weeks for their appointment of Kai Schwemmer, a young activist who has similarly critiqued Israel publicly, to Political Director, with calls for organized boycotts. Free Speech is a non-partisan issue, and threats to Free Speech on Taxpayer-funded University campuses must be taken seriously, no matter where they arise from. The John Birch Society urges the administration of the University of Florida to re-instate the UF College Republicans and to publicly re-commit itself to Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Assembly, and the Free Exchange of Ideas.

Official letter from the Chairman of CRA @realwilldonahue to Republican leaders attached below: “We cannot keep fighting one another harder than we fight the Left. We cannot keep spending our energy on endless internal vendettas while the country asks who will lower prices, secure the streets, defend the border, and restore order. We cannot keep doxxing one another, condemning one another, trying to destroy organizations, reputations, and livelihoods, and then expect the public to believe we are ready to govern.”
