Trappe Fire Chief, @UPTDFES FF/EMT & @PAStatePolice Trooper Branden Sisca was a good friend & partner to members at our station; he was passionate about firefighter training & safety. We remember Branden everyday but especially on the anniversary of his End Of Watch on 3/21/22.

FF/EMTs Layre, Lochner, & Holthausen also jumped in to read additional books to the kids. After storytime, everyone—kids & adults—got a guided tour of the fire station, including a close-up look at Squad 68 and the rescue and firefighting tools our crews use every day.

Squad 68’s B Platoon hosted “Storytime with a Firefighter” on Friday. Capt. Colelli kicked things off by reading “Firefighter Pete” by James Dean, & shared some great fire safety tips along with an overview of the important roles first responders play in our community.

A few spring safety reminders: • Check your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. • Keep outdoor brush and yard waste clear of heat sources. • Practice safe grilling and outdoor firepit use. • Drive safely as more neighbors are out walking, biking, and enjoying the season.

Our flag is now at half-staff at the direction of the Governor to honor Cpl. Timothy J. O’Connor Jr., of the @PAStatePolice who was killed in the line of duty in Chester County on March 8th. The flag is scheduled to remain at half-staff until sunset on the date of internment.

Ursinus facilities traced the issue to an HVAC unit with a clogged air intake. No fire found. The Station 68 crew supported @Collegeville34 and was in service ~75 minutes. #uptdfes #squad68

1:42pm Thurs: Squad 68, Chief 68 & Deputy 68 responded as mutual aid to New Hall at Ursinus College for reports of smoke and multiple alarms. Students were evacuated while crews investigated smoke on the 4th floor and in the basement.

On Tuesday, our Fire Marshal’s Office hosted the Fire Investigation Training Group for a hands‑on session on Electric & Appliance Fire investigation. We welcomed 70 students from across the region, including Delaware. Proud to support continued training in our community.
