@Anlililac The water tribe was indeed decimated, victim of a genocide by the fire nation in the attempt to colonize them. Although Zuko played a minor role in it since he was a disappointment to his father nation for not adhering to their methods at first

@User685239 Not to mention they're saying 'colonized' at every opportunity....the Water Tribes were done wrong on a lot of account by the Fire Nation (the list is long unfortunately) but be colonized aint it. They gotta learn the meaning of words

Did Zuko not have one of THE best character development arc in animated media in the past years? Is he not the reason why yall are pleading people to see ATLA as more than just a “kid’s show”? Are you truly so media illiterate that you missed the entire nurture vs nature theme?

@CarmenMiraculer Idk I don’t agree with this (?) if the comment was meant to be light hearted, I apologise. But I think that what makes Zuko interesting is that he was conditioned to think the fire nation had dominion over the world. His journey to realising how wrong he was is masterful

Katara having to push Aang’s bald headed ass kids out until one of them comes out an air bender. The dissapointment each time the child wasn’t a bender or the right one, Katara an incubator to restore air folk civilisation— omg Aang prepare to die.

"What's wrong with Katara being pregnant" The movie revolves around Aangs desire to revive airbending and he couldn't get what he wanted in the end and then a year later Katara is pregnant. It sends the message that he only had kids to revive his culture causing issues in TLOK
