Nowadays, that ex is a super rich tech asshole with “e/acc” in his handle, retweets Marc Andreessen, shares pics of the American flag, and posts about the world keeps getting better and better. I created that monster out of a depressed lonely poor kid and I regret it.

The ex whose life I changed the most went from a suicidal alcoholic mess to stable, happy, and running a small business I pushed him to start. As soon as I got his life in order, he dumped me. I’ve heard similar stories. Diamonds in the rough will leave you once you shine them up

@furrygirl I have family members like that. It is truly surreal to experience in person

@VidTuesday I know people like this exist, it was just wild to actually look at one in the flesh. So aggrieved on behalf of daughters he doesn’t have, and over something that is objectively not happening at all. And he represents half the country!

I met a conservative today for whom trans stuff was actually his key election issue. He explained that while he has no kids, if he did have a daughter, he’d want her to be allowed to do sports, but under Biden, only “boys pretending to be girls” are permitted to play.
