Bayern conceded 4 goals total against Real Madrid meanwhile Barcelona conceded 3 goals total against Atletico Madrid. Bayern progressed but Barcelona didn’t. The difference here is Bayern were more clinical with world class attackers. Kane, Olise, Diaz, Musiala etc. Barcelona’s defense was never the problem, we needed to be better up front. Once we have this fixed no one will speak about our high defensive line like CBS sports, ESPN & Paramount annoyingly, and repetitively do. Don't think Kylian Mbappe was bad today. I think he was actually Madrid's best player. But man, 2 trophyless seasons in a row for a club that hasn't had 2 trophyless in 2 decades until he joined is quite embarassing. Usually wouldn't be a failure, but when you have such high standards, gotten coaches sacked, forced system changes to accomodate you as 9 — the least you should be doing is winning something.

The only difference between Barça's out-of-possession approach vs PSG & Bayern's out-of-possession approach is literally just the physical & athletic capacity of the 3 teams. We simply don't have the same physical competency & duel winning capabilities as PSG & Bayern. In the CL, that makes a huge difference for any team, but especially if you're a high pressing team. Individual duels will make or break you in the CL.
