God is not seeking a display of my Christ-likeness , but a manifestation of His Christ.

The "flesh" is too bad to be cleansed; it must be crucified.

@clez_imma Never heard of a book of his on marriage. You can find his books on Amazon. Someone posted a comment on this thread that has some of his best books. Check that out too.

@Watchman_Nee Can’t really tell as every book of his is a wonder but I really like “Spiritual Authority” and “The Normal Christian Life”. I saw one of his books on marriage years back but couldn’t buy it; I don’t know if you can help me point me in the right direction to get one.

Negligence in prayer withers the inner man. Nothing can be a substitute for it, not even Christian work. Many are so preoccupied with work that they allow little time for prayer. Hence they cannot cast out demons.

To bear the cross means that you refrain from doing what you have the power to do. You are qualified to fulfill your desire, yet you refrain from doing so. A person like this is the strongest person.

Good is not always God's will, but God's will is always good.

Humility means a person will accept whatever the Lord gives him, for his expectations are not focused on himself.

One quality which characterizes a spiritual person is the great calm he maintains under every circumstance.

If you would test the character of anything, you only need to enquire whether that thing leads you to God or away from God.
