@ColinBest1978 @nightwriter22 It’s neither. It’s just the way we’re to view art, more often than not.
English

@clez_imma @nightwriter22 Is that you talking,or are you projecting something onto me?If it's the latter, you're totally wrong.I genuinely enjoy Dunkirk the least of all the Nolan films I've seen.Is that any clearer?
English

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is going through what his 2017 film, Dunkirk, went through.
Prior to its July 2017 release, Dunkirk was criticized for lacking emotional depth, sparse dialogue, and potential historical inaccuracies.
Critics argued Nolan prioritized technical filmmaking over human connection and questioned its purely English perspective, which largely ignored the 120,000 French soldiers also evacuated.
The film was misunderstood before it was seen, but most negativity faded once audiences experienced it and understood Nolan’s approach. The Odyssey faces similar pre-release criticism.
Nolan remains a rare, passionate filmmaker who respects his audience—mesmerizing them, making them think, entertaining them, and inspiring future filmmakers.
It should be noted that Nolan isn’t aiming for a documentary-style reenactment of Bronze Age Greece. He’s treating The Odyssey as a “mythic action epic,” embracing fantasy elements and viewing the source material as a 3,000-year-old tale of monsters, gods, and heroes—not a historical textbook.

English

@ColinBest1978 @nightwriter22 “His Worst” = his film I relate to the least.
English

@nightwriter22 I appreciate I'm probably in a minority here but of all the Nolan films I've seen,I think Dunkirk is his worst by far.

@nanakusinho @F_Edzeamey The context here is tithing. The Lord says those who don’t give tithe are robbing him. If a pastor uses the same message to preach, he’s not the one calling someone a “robber.” He’s merely preaching what the Lord says in Malachi 3:8.
English

@F_Edzeamey Next time he should watch his utterances. Calling people "armed robbers" was totally irresponsible

Very Rev. Dr Solomon Bruce, the Methodist minister at the center of the viral video has lost the just ended Kumasi Diocesan Bishop election.
It is emerging that the video was released as part of a last-minute agenda to block his chances of winning the election.
Church politics can be even more dangerous than mainstream partisan politics.😂

@belmondeblo @a_derll @Archieeexl Creative way of telling us you’re one of “non-thinking” ones. Genius.

@a_derll @Archieeexl Africans won’t just think, that’s our problem.. they still believe lies that was sold to them

@KvngAyo0007 @heis_fede Vini has won multiple champions league trophies without the help of Kylian, scoring in both finals. He’s not going to accept playing second fiddle to someone he has more rich history than at Real Madrid.
English

@heis_fede This is exactly what I’m saying Kylian is the scorer he doesn’t matter who’s bigger he’s the star they need to work for him to score or else it won’t work that’s why we are lacking
English

@Luiz_Fernando_J Planted applause. Don’t trust anything being said here. Kill this deal.

And the #Paramount panel keeps on giving;
After having his merger plans condemned by #CinemaCon’s organiser on TUE, $PSY CEO #DavidEllison simply decided to make a surprise appearance at the convention today.
The hostility of TUE turned to applause on THU as he announced that, starting today, all #Paramount theatrical films will have a minimum 45 day exclusive theatrical window, and no film released under his company will hit streaming at no extra cost before a minimum 90 days after hitting theatres.
He told exhibitors that he came to #CinemaCon personally to look in their eyes and make it official his commitment directly with them to deliver 30 movies per year as soon as the merger between WB & #Paramount is concluded.

Only those without vision struggle to believe in abundance.
Because vision lets you see beyond what is — into what can be.
Where others see limitation, vision sees potential.
Where others see lack, vision sees seed.
Where others see an end, vision sees a beginning.
Financial abundance is not first a number —
it is a revelation.
A shift in perception.
A breaking of inner ceilings.
A decision to no longer agree with scarcity.
Without vision, every opportunity looks risky.
With vision, every seed carries a future.
That’s why many reject abundance —
not because it isn’t real…
but because they cannot yet see it.
But the moment vision awakens, everything changes.
You stop asking, “Is it possible?”
And start declaring, “It is already in motion.”
Because abundance doesn’t begin in your bank account.
It begins in your ability to see differently.
And once you see it…
you can never unsee it.

@nightwriter22 “…sold all its tickets in advance.”
The word “all” makes the statement false.
English

Disney apparently is not too happy about Avatar: Fire and Ash box-office numbers.
The company is now aiming for cheaper and shorter Avatar films.
The fourth installment has already been shot by James Cameron up to 20% or so, and with the fifth film also planned, Cameron intends to complete both films before moving on to other projects.
Avatar: Fire and Ash earned $1 billion less than Avatar: The Way of Water. While the film was received positively by both the audience and critics, its lower box office earnings can be attributed to its reliance on the impact of the first two films.
The third film didn't have the fire to create enough urgency. The perspectives of audiences around the world have changed, and no matter the budget, a film must now be treated like an event.
That's why Nolan's The Odyssey, set for release on July 17, 2026, sold all its tickets a year in advance.
Nolan approaches his projects as a celebration of cinema. For Nolan, releasing a film in theaters has purpose. It's an opportunity he creates for his following project, which creates momentum.
But Cameron is still the king of the box office. To remain in such a position, it's necessary to rethink the strategies.
Make us crave Avatar again.

@gbagyifeemboy I get your point and I agree with it; my only concern is with the word “teach.” In many respects, guidance is a form of teaching. The “spoon feeding” you later used best captures your intent.
English

@clez_imma I’d rather think the actors learn from the directors guidance and not being taught how to act.
English

@gbagyifeemboy The you probably should have used another word because directors are allowed to teach actors a thing or two. Many great actors have shared how the directors they worked with taught them a lot about acting.
English

@clez_imma Teaching as in spoon feeding your actors not allowing them to creatively express themselves.
English

@eastsportsman The reviews are overwhelmingly positive, or?
IMDb = 8.4/10
Metacritic = 77%
Tomatometer = 94%
Popcornmeter = 96%.
