@_girltalk Still not over not making the 2016 Olympic team 10 years later. No teammate cared. It was the best Olympic team EVER. Candace skipped World Cup while other stars didn’t and she then expected to make Olympic team. That after she played soft in 2012 against Australia.

for context geno was waving his arms at halfcourt before the title game started last year, so that would of been before the result, the waving of his arms was due to him waiting on dawn to meet him at halfcourt when he had already been standing there same as this year only difference is last year she came late after being promoted by someone behind the scorer’s table and this year she didn’t come at all…
so the notion his actions are because of the results of the games is incorrect.

@Rosa_taxidriver Candace still bitter and blames Geno for keeping her off the 2016 Olympic team. It was a committee decision. No other team member was upset because they all knew she wanted to receive special treatment. I can blow off World Cup and expect to be on Olympics. USA BB said no.

Dawn Staley is as classy as they come. Her response to Geno’s poor attitude and behavior after his Huskies lost badly shows you the type of leader she is. #Gamecocks physically dominated and imposed their will. Utterly shocked by Geno doing what he did after the defeat.

My theory on UConn coach Geno Auriemma embarrassing himself last night at the women's Final Four:
He made it all about himself and a supposed "slight" to distract people from the simple fact he was completely outcoached by USC's Dawn Staley.

If Geno Auriemma doesn’t deliver a full-throated apology to Dawn Staley for his sore loser antics & a recantation of his false claim and excuse that Staley did not shake his hand pregame, some of UConn’s future recruits need to rethink joining his program & take their talents elsewhere. Auriemma’s postgame behavior from the court to the mic was that self-illuminating, but not beyond self-reflection.
In the meantime, Auriemma’s antics are triggering for anyone who has experienced other individuals starting issues at work and claiming innocence in their victim facade afterwards, while getting others to focus on the reaction. That manipulation is reprehensible & deserves to be called out.
Sportsmanship is about handling losing and someone else being better than you with grace, & not trying to warp and wrap a salty core with lies, projection & blame-shifting.
Dawn Staley, once again, is moving on to the Championship round. Deal with it like others did when they celebrated Auriemma’s well-earned victories too.
